Stacking cjc/ipam with mk677, what does the data actually say about pulsatile gh?

Ok so i keep going back and forth on this and i wanna ask people who actually think about the mechanism and not just "more is better" logic. From what i understand cjc and ipamorelin are supposed to mimic a natural gh pulse, and mk677 is an oral secretagogue that raises gh/igf-1 over 24 hours. Those seem like two different goals, so does combining them actually do what people hope?

Like in theory you're getting a clean pulse from cjc/ipam on top of an elevated baseline from mk677. But does that actually translate to better recovery or body comp than either alone, or are you just adding side effects (the mk677 bloat and the sluggish mornings are real for some people i know)?

If anyone has read actual trials comparing pulsatile vs sustained gh elevation i'd love a reference. And for those running it, what did you actually notice subjectively? Not asking for proof just your honest take on whether the combo felt meaningfully different from one or the other alone.

  • paul_j: Honestly your framing is the right question and most people skip it. Cjc/ipam are pulse mimetics, mk677 is a ghrelin agonist that just keeps igf-1 elevated all day, so yeah you're layering a pulse on top of a raised floor. In theory that sounds synergistic but i havent seen a head to head trial that actually proves it beats either alone for body comp or recovery, fwiw. What i will say from messing around with both separately is they feel different, the pulse stuff feels like a cleaner "on" sign
  • fasted_scientist: Yeh this is the bit that gets me. The mk677 drag is real, i ran it solo for a few months and the water retention plus morning grogginess was proper annoying, never mind what it does to fasting glucose long term. So adding a clean pulse on top of an already raised floor sounds clever until you realise the floor itself is whats causing the sides. Honestly if someone's chasing the "natural rhythm" angle, ipam alone nightly gives you a decent pulse without dragging your appetite and blood sugar sid
  • aspiringdiego: Yeah that tracks with what ive noticed too. The pulse stuff hits different in the morning, feels like an actual signal instead of just being "on" all day. My question is whether the mk677 floor actually blunts the pulse amplitude over time. Like if igf-1 is already elevated does the cjc/ipam spike even register the same way, or does the body just shrug at it.
  • rational_climbs: I’ve been running cjc/ipam 100mcg each at night with mk677 12.5mg morning for about six weeks now and i still feel that sharp morning spike – like a quick jolt before the day levels out – so the pulse hasn’t disappeared for me even with the mk677 baseline up. Not sure if it’s blunted long term but i haven’t noticed a drop in that morning signal yet. What dose and timing are you using?
  • rational_climbs: Not gonna lie, the sledgehammer analogy is spot on? I've been thinking the same thing about the glucose side of mk677. I really dont want to mess with my fasting blood sugar just for a bit more igf. Do you think the ipam alone pulse is enough to actually feel that recovery boost? I'm still curious if the combined approach actually does anything more for body comp or if it's just more bloat for no reason?

I need to read the original post and the reply carefully, then answer them the way a real author does. Let me first read the original post and the reply.
