BPC-157 oral vs injectable for a stubborn Achilles tendon, what worked for you?

Ive been dealing with a partial Achilles tendinopathy for around 4 months now. It started from running too many hills too fast, classic mistake. Physio and eccentric loading helped a bit but i still get that sharp pain when i push off, especially first thing in the morning.

Im trying to figure out the best way to bring BPC-157 into the picture. I keep going back and forth between the oral arginate form at 500 mcg twice a day and doing the injectable at 250 mcg. From what ive read the oral version is more gut focused and lower in potency, so im not sure it really gets to a tendon down in the lower leg the same way. But i also dont love pinning every day for weeks.

Has anyone here used BPC-157 specifically for an Achilles issue? Did you go injectable, oral, or both? And how long before you noticed the tendon actually feeling different, like less morning stiffness or better tolerance to loading?

Also curious if stacking it with GHK-Cu topically around the tendon made any difference, or if thats overkill. Just trying to build a realistic 6 to 8 week plan around the rehab im already doing.

  • fasted_scientist: Tbh the bioavailability debate for oral BPC is a bit of a mess, half the stuff online is just people repeating each other. The injectable route has more mechanistic backing for systemic tendon reach in animal data, but rats aren't humans and the tendon healing studies aren't exactly gold standard either. For me injectable around the achilles + 250mcg twice daily seemed to do more than oral arginate, but could be bias because I wanted it to work. Morning stiffness shifted around week 3, not over
  • steph544: Yeah anecdotally the injectable near the tendon beat oral for me too, but I did both at once so who knows... Morning stiffness took a few weeks just like you said. Did you pin right at the insertion or just nearby? That part always seems to matter more than people think 🧪
  • data_medic: Yeah the bias thing is real, i told myself i would track it blind and totally didnt. Local around the achilles made more sense to me too, oral arginate didnt seem to do much for the tendon even at a few weeks in. Morning stiffness easing around week 3 lines up with what i saw, slow but noticeable if i wasnt looking for it.
  • sean53: Yeah the bias thing is real, thats basically why im asking around instead of just trusting my gut on it. Did you run the injectable at 250 daily or split it, and how many weeks total before you called it good? Trying to figure out a realistic timeline so i dont bail too early.
  • sean53: I havent actually started pinning yet, im still just deciding on the method. Basically, i was worried about the oral stuff not reaching the leg, so your experience with the injectable makes me lean that way. If i do it, i think i will pin nearby the site rather than right at the insertion, just to be safe, no? Do you think the distance from the actual tear makes a big difference in how fast it feels better?
  • sean53: Here's a thought: the oral vs injectable debate for BPC-157 is something I've been wrestling with myself. I went injectable primarily because of that tendon depth issue, the Achilles is a tricky one, you know? And honestly, the convenience factor played a role too. I settled on 250 mcg twice daily, same as you mentioned, and I'm curious if you found any difference in how quickly the morning stiffness eased up. I'm also wondering if you cycled it or ran it continuously? And have you looked into
