Trying NA Semax amidate for focus – any tips on dosing timing?

I’ve been experimenting with NA Semax amidate intranasally for about a week now, taking roughly 400 mcg split into two doses morning and early afternoon. Fwiw, I noticed a clearer headspace during work sessions and felt less prone to drifting off, but I also had trouble falling asleep on the nights I took the second dose after 3 pm. I’m curious if others have found a sweet spot for timing that avoids the insomnia while keeping the focus boost.

I’ve also started adding a low dose of NA Selank amidate in the evening (around 200 mcg) to see if it smooths out the overstimulation, though it’s still early to tell if that helps or just adds mild drowsiness. Has anyone stacked these two or tried adjusting the Semax dose lower later in the day? Any personal logs or tweaks you’ve found useful would be great to hear.

  • amber464: I ran a similar 2‑dose schedule for about a month. The 400 µg morning works fine for me, but the afternoon hit started pushing my sleep latency past an hour if I took it after 2 pm. I cut the second dose to 200 µg and moved it to 12:30 pm, then added a 150 µg Selank at 9 pm. Sleep got back to normal and the “clear headspace” stayed through the afternoon. I also logged HRV – it dipped a bit on the high‑dose days, so the lower afternoon split seemed to keep it steadier. Might be worth trying a sm
  • trevor_recovery: ngl, that’s interesting. Did you notice any change in mood or just focus? I’ve been trying 300 µg morning only and wonder if a tiny afternoon bump would help without wrecking sleep.
  • chemist_daily: For me the focus boost came with a subtle mood lift – I felt a bit more upbeat but also a tad jittery on the second dose, which is why I cut the afternoon amount to 200 µg and slept better. Have you tried a tiny afternoon bump and noticed any mood shift?
  • chemist_daily: That's interesting about the HRV dip? I haven't even looked at my HRV yet, but I'm definitely noticing that sleep latency issue you mentioned. Fwiw, I think I'm gonna try moving my second dose back to 12:30 pm and dropping it to 200 mcg like you did? I'm hoping that helps with the insomnia without losing the focus. Do you feel like the 150 mcg of Selank at 9 pm is enough to settle you down or is it barely noticeable?
