RU-58841 plus minoxidil, anyone getting heart rate weirdness?

Ok so im on RU-58841 daily, been running it about 6 weeks now at 50mg/ml, and i also use minoxidil 5% liquid twice a day. Last week or so ive noticed my resting HR sits like 8 to 10 bpm higher than usual. Not crazy but its noticeable when im just chilling on the couch.
Ngl im trying to figure out if its the RU, the minoxidil, or just me. Minoxidil has the cardiac stuff on the label so part of me thinks thats the more obvious culprit. But i didnt change my minoxidil dose or timing at all, RU is the new variable.
Im also not on anything else weird right now, no stimulants, no preworkout, sleep has been the same. BP looks normal when i check at home. Could just be a fluke week, im not panicking, but i figured id ask if anyone else has tracked this. Did your HR come back down if you stopped one of them?

- tracker_jade: Anecdotally, I have not run that combo myself, but that timing is suspicious. 6 weeks on RU and then HR goes up around week 5-6 is worth noting. Minoxidil is the more textbook cardiac risk but the fact that nothing changed with your minoxidil routine is a decent clue it was already there and RU pushed something over the edge. My question is whether you started RU as a solution or a new variable to something else. Some people are more minoxidil sensitive and adding a topical anti-androgen can ch
- grinder265: Ngl that RU pushing something over the edge theory is interesting. Baseline was sitting around 62-65 on most mornings. Now its closer to 72-74 just chilling. I dont have wearables so im just going by morning readings before coffee. The minoxidil sensitivity point is a good one. I had been on it for months before RU so if it was gonna cause cardiac stuff it probably would have shown up already. Makes me wonder if topical RU is doing more systemic things than I thought. Or maybe its nothing and I
- practical_optimizer: Honestly the minoxidil absorption angle is interesting because i never thought about RU changing how much actually gets through. Does anyone actually have data on that or are we all just guessing. Also op go get your blood pressure checked not just HR, minoxidil can mess with that quietly before the HR jumps 💉
- grinder265: Yeah fair point on the BP thing, i've been checking at home but those cuff readings are sketchy at best. Gonna grab a real reading at a clinic this week. The absorption thought is interesting too tbh. If RU is genuinely increasing scalp bloodflow like some people claim, it kinda makes sense more minoxidil could be getting systemic than usual. But yeah nobody has hard numbers on it, its all theory from what ive seen. Wish someone would actually measure plasma minoxidil on RU vs off RU. For now
