RU-58841 plus minoxidil, anyone getting heart rate weirdness?

Random thing I wanna throw out there. I've been rotating RU-58841 daily for a few months now, usually at night, and I add minoxidil 5% in the morning since I figured why not stack them. Hair looks better honestly, shedding slowed down way more than RU alone ever did for me.
But the last couple weeks I've had these random episodes where my heart just kinda thumps harder than it should when I'm sitting still. Not racing, just like a noticeable thud thud thud for 10 or 15 minutes and then it goes back to normal. BP reads fine when I check it.
Could be totally unrelated. Ngl I'm also deep in training for a 50 miler so my baseline HR is already all over the place and sleep has been garbage. But RU is supposed to stay topical and not do anything systemic, right? Has anyone else noticed anything like this when stacking the two, or am I just chasing a ghost. Curious if there's a sensible way to rule it in or out without spiraling.

- tracker_jade: I’ve stacked RU with minoxidil a couple times and never felt any heart thumps myself, but I’m also not logging HR every day. Anecdotally, when I was deep in marathon training my resting pulse would jump around for no clear reason, especially after a few nights of bad sleep. It’s tough to tell if the topicals are doing anything systemic or if it’s just the load plus fatigue. Have you tried skipping the minoxidil for a week to see if the thuds fade? Or taking your pulse first thing in the morning
- grinder265: I haven't tried a minoxidil break yet but that’s a solid idea. I’ll skip it for a week and take my resting pulse before any product hits the scalp each morning. My thumps usually hit after evening runs when I’m wiped, so timing might help isolate it.
- tiredmira: Yeah I basically agree with the morning pulse check, that’s what I’d do too. Resting HR right after waking, before anything touches your skin, gives you a clean baseline. Then skip the minox for a week and compare. If the thuds fade, you’ve got your answer. If not, it’s probably training + sleep catching up to you 😅
- grinder265: Morning pulse check is fair, I'll start logging that tomorrow. Skipping minox for a week feels doable too since I can still keep the RU going. Only thing is RU on its own never gave me heart stuff for the first couple months, it only showed up after I added the minox. So if it clears up during the washout I'm still not sure which one to blame, or if it's just my body finally reacting to the combo. Might do the opposite too and pause RU but keep minox and see what happens.
