Semaglutide Microdose Week Four: HRV, Glucose, and Appetite Notes

25 milligrams weekly. I started this mostly to see if the appetite suppression would actually hold at the low end. HRV has been almost boringly stable, which is the good kind of boring.
Up twelve points on average from baseline and resting heart rate dropped about four beats. That tracks with what the literature says about GLP-1 agonists and autonomic tone. Fasting glucose is being difficult.
This morning it was ninety two but I usually sit between eighty five and eighty seven. Could be the steak last night, could be the terrible sleep, could be nothing at all. Still bugs me when the numbers don't cooperate.
Might be a little too attached to the data but that is half the point. Appetite drops hard for the first two days post-injection then creeps back up around day five. Matches the half life almost exactly.
No nausea, no injection site issues. Planning to hold this dose another month and pull full labs at week eight to see if lipids or insulin do anything interesting. If anyone else is running low dose semaglutide solo and tracking HRV or wearing a CGM I would be curious to compare notes. Sometimes running your own little experiment...

- aspiring_codes: that glucose bump is exactly why i tell patients to ignore single readings đź‘€ when i ran low dose sema last year my fasting glucose did the same dance, up ten to fifteen points some mornings then back down with no pattern i could explain. turned out it was mostly sleep quality and what i ate the night before. the HRV and RHR changes youre seeing are way more consistent in my experience appetite pattern you describe matches what i saw too, hard suppression first two days then gradual return. he
- carla_macros: That’s reassuring about the glucose drift. I’m the kind who wants every number to play nice, but if you saw the same random spikes and they didn’t track with any real change, I’ll chill a bit. Sounds like your labs moved about how I’m hoping, though I’ll keep an eye on insulin more than lipids. When you held 0.25 for three months, did the appetite suppression level out more, or did it keep cycling each week like mine?
- cooks_sleep: For me the first month was the wildest swing then it settled into a quieter rhythm around week six. Some weeks I barely notice it and others a burger still sounds like a threat. Sleep and training load seem to move the needle more than the dose itself. đź“°
- carla_macros: That trackswith what I am seeing too. The sleep piece is real, my worst glucose morning followed three hours of broken sleep and the HRV dip was noticeable. Training load is harder to isolate since I have been keeping volume steady but I wonder if the appetite creep around day five is partly recovery signaling. Did you notice the hunger pattern shift after week six or just the intensity?
