BPC-157 injectable vs oral for a stubborn Achilles tendon, what worked for you?

I have been dealing with a partially torn Achilles for about six months now. Standard physio, eccentrics, the whole boring programme. Progress is slow, fwiw. I started reading more about BPC-157 and I am a bit stuck on the route question.

The injectable form is what most people mention for tendon stuff, but the oral arginate salt profile mentions systemic anti-inflammatory and gut mucosal healing, and it is easier to stay consistent with when you are not jabbing yourself twice a day for months. Has anyone here actually compared the two on a tendon issue and noticed a real difference? Or do they work well stacked?

I am also wondering about timing around rehab sessions. Do you inject or dose before physio, after, or does it not matter much? I do my heavy eccentrics in the morning and I have been wondering if I am getting in the way of the signal by training right after.

Not asking for a personal plan from anyone, just curious what your experience has been with route and timing on a slow tendon.

  • grinder265: Honestly ngl i never stacked them but for my cranky elbow earlier this year i ran oral bpc for maybe 6 weeks and felt basically nothing, then switched to subq near the elbow and noticed it calm down within a couple weeks. Could totally be placebo or just time but that was my run. For the timing thing i tried to dose maybe an hour or so before my eccentrics in the morning, just bc it made sense to me to have it circulating during the load. No clue if that actually mattered tho. Six months on a
  • midwestnoor: I tried oral BPC‑157 for my nagging Achilles for four weeks and felt zero change, then did a couple of subq shots right around the tendon each morning before my heel drops. Pain dropped noticeably after about ten days. Did you get an MRI to confirm it’s still just a partial tear?
  • hana791: Yeah, the local subq approach is something I keep hearing about, did you do it close to the tendon itself or more generally in the calf? And yes, MRI confirmed partial tear, no full rupture, which is why physio is still the main plan. Four weeks on oral with nothing though, that is useful to know, fwiw. How many mcg per shot were you running?
  • hana791: Yeah the subq near the joint is kind of where I am leaning, fwiw. Local makes more sense to me than systemic for a tendon that is not getting much blood flow anyway. I have not stacked them either but I keep going back and forth. Morning dose about an hour before eccentrics sounds doable, I will probably try that. Thank you for that. And yes, I have a new MRI booked for next month, finally. My physio pushed for it because progress has been flatter than we would like. Waiting on that before I c
