CagriSema vs retatrutide, which one actually feels less rough on the stomach?

I've been on tirz for about 8 months now and I'm thinking about switching things up once I hit my goal weight.
Mostly just to see what else is out there at this point.
I've been reading about CagriSema and retatrutide and honestly the weight loss numbers look wild for both.
What I really care about though is the day to day feel, because tirz wipes me out on injection day and the nausea has been pretty consistent even after titrating up slowly.
For anyone who's tried CagriSema specifically, how was the side effect profile for you compared to tirz?
I'm basically wondering if the amylin component makes the nausea worse or if it's actually smoother since it's hitting a different pathway.
And if anyone has experience coming off tirz onto something else, how did that transition go for appetite and energy?
Just trying to get a feel for what the real world experience looks like before I commit π

- mom_sean: Fwiw the amylin part of cagrisema does seem to blunt the appetite drive in a different way than tirz does, but it doesn't magically skip the GI stuff for most people i've seen talk about it. Nausea was still the main complaint in the small human trials, just maybe a bit later in the week for some. Retatrutide is a different beast, triple agonist, and people i know who tried it early said the first few dose steps were pretty rough until they settled. Coming off tirz onto either one, give yoursel
- derek_hikes: Yeah that tracks with what I saw when I tried cagrisema for a few weeks. The appetite suppression felt different, less like forced "I can't eat" and more like I just forgot about food, but the nausea still showed up, just timed weird. Retatrutide honestly wiped me out worse than tirz did, though that might just be my response.
- cora_zone2: Yeah that tracks with what ive been reading too. The amylin angle is interesting on paper but the GI overlap with tirz isnt going to vanish just because the mechanism is different. For what it is worth the washout part is solid advice, ive seen people rush that and then blame the new compound when its really just their receptors still half occupied π
- tiredmira: That washout joke hits close to home, I actually know someone who did exactly that and was ready to write off CagriSema entirely before it had a fair shot. I'm probably going to give it at least 2 weeks clears myself, maybe longer since I've been on tirz for 8 months straight. Did you personally do a washout when you switched, or are you just speaking from what you've seen others go through?
- tiredmira: That "forgot about food" thing is actually the effect I want, because the tirz nausea feels like my body is just rejecting the mechanism if that makes sense. Like I get hungry but then feel sick thinking about eating. The fact that cagrisema was still nausea-y but smoother sounds promising though. How long were you on cagrisema before you decided it wasn't the right fit? Basically just trying to figure out if the GI stuff settles or if it's pretty constant.
- tiredmira: The part about nausea being "later in the week" is actually useful, thank you. I was imagining I'd just feel rough on injection day and be done with it, but if the timing shifts around that just means I need to plan my week differently. Didn't really think about it that way. And yeah the washout thing makes sense, I didn't want to rush it anyway. My appetite was honestly the worst thing to manage when I first started tirz and I don't wanna relive that chaos π Did your people mention how long
