TB-500 frag on its own for a stubborn peroneal tendon, worth trying?

I have been dealing with peroneal tendon pain on and off for close to a year now. Eccentric loading has helped a lot but I still get flare ups if I push mileage too fast. I keep reading mixed things online about running TB-500 frag by itself versus stacking it with BPC-157.

For those of you who have used TB-4 frag solo, what did the timeline look like before you noticed anything, and did it actually stick after you stopped? Anecdotally I have seen people say the frag version is more about flexibility and inflammation while the full peptide is more for actual tissue repair. I am trying to figure out which direction to go for a tendon that mostly feels angry and tight rather than torn.

I am also curious about timing around rehab sessions. Do you pin it on days you train or rest days? And does splitting the weekly dose into smaller daily shots make a real difference or is that just splitting hairs. Looking for honest experience, not sales pitches.

  • tiredmira: I never used the frag solo but I did run BPC solo for a peroneal issue a while back, and it took basically 3 weeks before I noticed anything meaningful. From what I have read, the frag is supposed to help more with flexibility and range of motion than actual tendon healing, so if the tissue itself feels angry you might want the full version or BPC alongside. For timing I pinned on rest days mostly, less swelling that way, but I never compared directly so it could just be coincidence. Have you
  • tracker_jade: Yeah, heavy slow resistance is part of what I have been doing. The ankle isometrics and slow calf eccentrics helped a lot but I still get that angry tight feeling if I ramp up running too quick, which is why I started looking at the frag in the first place. The flexibility angle is kinda what drew me to it since BPC alone felt like a heavier hammer for what is mostly an overuse thing. 3 weeks before you noticed anything on BPC is helpful, that lines up with what I have heard anecdotally too. • weekendnate: Good call on the HSR question, that was actually my next question to them too. Eccentrics alone never fully fixed mine either until I added isometrics, so I am curious if that combo would let someone skip the peptide altogether. On the frag timing point, when you pinned on rest days specifically, was that morning or evening? I have been going morning and I wonder if I am just making my sleep data noisier for nothing.
  • tracker_jade: Honest answer, I never noticed a clear difference between morning and evening pinning on rest days, sleep looked the same either way to me. Anecdotally the loading dose weeks felt like the only time I actually felt a shift, after that it was pretty steady. What dose and how many weeks did you run it before adding isometrics?
  • curiousrachel: I hear you on the loading phase doing the heavy lifting, that's interesting. I ran 2mg twice a week for about 6 weeks before starting isometrics, seemed like the standard range people mention. Did you find the benefit held once you stopped entirely, or did it fade off?
