BPC-157 arginate oral timing around PT for a cranky posterior tibial tendon

Been dealing with posterior tibial tendinopathy for like 6 weeks now, started as a dull annoyance on long runs and turned into something I cant ignore. Doing PT twice a week, eccentric loaded calf raises, tibialis posterior raises, all the boring stuff, plus I dropped my mileage which is killing me tbh.

Ngl I started oral BPC arginate about 10 days in. Doing 500mcg twice a day on an empty stomach, morning and before bed. Im not gonna sit here and say it fixed anything cause its early, but the morning stiffness when I first step out of bed seems less, like maybe 30% less. Could be placebo, could just be the PT finally kicking in.

Question for anyone whos run oral arginate for a tendon issue specifically, how did you time it relative to your PT sessions? I was doing it morning and night but moved one dose to right after my PT appt in case theres any acute post-session benefit. No clue if that actually matters for an oral route.

Also curious how long people ran it for tendinopathy before calling it. I dont want to stay on it forever.

  • leah_vo2max: For me I kept it at twice daily and didnt really time it around PT, mostly cause my sessions were at random times and I didnt want to overthink it. The morning stiffness thing is real though, I noticed similar on an Achilles issue a while back. Could absolutely be the eccentric work finally catching up, those tib post raises take forever to actually shift the needle. I ran 8 weeks then took a break, didnt taper or anything just stopped. Tendon stuff is slow and boring, the compound felt like it
  • patient_codes: Yeah honestly the timing thing I was way too in my head about at first, twice daily just fits the day better and I stopped stressing about lining it up with PT. The morning stiffness easing was the first thing I noticed too, felt like maybe 2 weeks in for me. Eccentric work is so annoyingly slow but it does eventually catch up 🧠
  • grinder265: Yeah the twice daily thing is starting to feel more natural to me too, I think I was overthinking it. And 2 weeks lines up with what Im seeing which is reassuring actually. How long did you run it total? Im trying to figure out if I should plan for like an 8 week course or just see how it goes and reassess with my PT at my next eval. Kind of feel like I need a stopping point so I dont just stay on it forever out of habit.
  • grinder265: Yeah thats kinda where Im at too honestly, hard to say what the PT alone would do vs the BPC. The eccentric stuff is so painfully slow, like you dont know if its working for weeks. 8 weeks then cold stop, did you feel any kind of letdown or regression after? I havent really thought about how to come off it, I was just gonna ride it til the tendon calms down and then stop. Also your random timing thing makes me feel better about not being super precise, I was starting to drive myself nuts moving
