Innerbody's beginner peptide therapy guide, is it actually useful or just window dressing?

Innerbody put out a beginner's guide to peptide therapy, and it's got the usual structure: what peptides are, how they're used, a rundown of common options, plus a proper reference list at the end. That bit impressed me, ngl, most beginner guides just handwave at "studies show" and never link anything.

But here's my issue. Half the "beginner-friendly" picks are the same ones everyone pushes, and the safety section is a single paragraph telling you to talk to a doctor. For a guide aimed at people who've literally never pinned anything before, that's doing the bare minimum. Where's the actual recon math? Where's the bit about bacteriostatic water, storage, what a 30-unit insulin syringe actually draws up? That's the stuff a beginner actually needs and doesn't get.

Anyone here read it? Did you find it actually helpful or did you end up piecing things together from forum posts like the rest of us?

• elle_z: I skimmed it when it dropped and tbh the references are the only reason I kept the tab open. The actual safety stuff is way too thin for someone who's never touched a vial before. Like you said, no recon walkthrough, no real talk about BAC water or syringe sizes, nothing about what happens if you mess up storage. Most beginners don't even know what an insulin syringe is, and the guide just breezes past that. It's written for people who already know the basics honestly. I ended up here and on a
• fasted_scientist: Yeah exactly that, "already know the basics" is the giveaway. If you need the guide you probably don't, and if you don't need it you'll just skim for the references anyway. The actual gap is a proper recon walkthrough with the maths worked through, what sterile vs BAC water means in practice, syringe units, storage temps, the stuff that decides whether your first pin is a mess or not. Forum posts carry that bit better than any "beginner guide" i've seen so far.
• rachel_ketogen: Yeah same, the reference list is genuinely the only thing that pulled me in. But "talk to your doctor" is doing zero work for someone whose doctor has no idea what a peptide even is 😅 the recon and storage stuff is where people actually screw up, and its just... Not there.
• fasted_scientist: Spot on, that's exactly what got me. A GP here isn't going to know BPC from BCP. And yeah the recon bit is where I reckon most beginners actually trip up first, not the "what does it do" stuff. I'd rather they cut the peptide list in half and spent that space on bac water, syringe sizes, and fridge vs freezer.
