Ipamorelin vs tesamorelin for stubborn visceral fat, is one actually worth picking over the other?

Right, been running a CJC/Ipa stack for a while now and the sleep and recovery side of things has been solid for me, no complaints there. But the visceral fat around the midsection is just stubborn. Diet is dialled in, training is consistent, and the belly is still the last thing to budge.
So I've been reading up on tesamorelin specifically because the research around it and visceral fat seems to be the one area where the data is actually a bit more compelling than most peptide stuff. From what I understand it has a decent track record in that specific use case.
For anyone who's actually run both, how does tesamorelin compare in practice to a standard CJC/Ipa setup when the main goal is shifting that stubborn midsection fat? Is the difference noticeable enough to justify swapping, or is it more of a subtle thing you'd only catch on bloods and a tape measure?
Also curious if the side effect profile is meaningfully different. Ipa gives me a bit of water retention but nothing mad.

- patient_codes: I’ve run CJC/Ipa for about six months and noticed better sleep and recovery but the belly fat barely moved, just like you described. I switched to tesamorelin alone for three months while keeping diet and training the same and saw a slow but steady drop in waist circumference, maybe half an inch a month, while the water retention I got from ipa faded. The difference wasn’t dramatic on the mirror but showed up on the tape and a slight dip in fasting insulin on my labs. Side effects felt milder w
- fasted_scientist: Cheers for the detailed write up, that's actually really useful. Half an inch a month on the tape sounds about right for what the studies suggest too, so it's good to hear it tracks in real life. The fasting insulin dipping is the bit that caught my eye ngl. How much did yours move on the labs if you remember roughly? Just curious whether that was a small nudge or something you'd actually notice.
- tiredmira: Yeah the fasting insulin shift is what caught my attention too. I kept ipa for the sleep benefits but added tesamorelin on a separate schedule about two months ago, and my morning glucose has been trending down by like 4-5 points on my continuous monitor. The water thing is real, ipa always made me feel puffy around the waist which kinda masked whatever fat loss was happening 😅
- fasted_scientist: Cheers for that, the 4-5 point glucose drop on a CGM is a solid signal tbh. CGM data doesn't lie so that's more useful than half the anecdotal stuff floating about. The water retention thing from ipa rings true for me as well, ngl I always felt a bit "fuller" round the middle on it even when the scale was moving. Makes you wonder how much of the perceived lack of progress is just bloating masking actual changes underneath. Two months in is decent, are you noticing anything on the tape measure
