Switched to retatrutide after a 16 week tirz stall, week 4 numbers and how it actually feels

Been on tirz since last fall, got down about 38 pounds and then hit a wall around week 12. Tried the usual stuff before jumping ship, sleep optimization, higher protein, refeeds, dropping the dose briefly, nothing really moved the scale for four straight weeks.
Switched to retatrutide about a month ago. Started low and titrated slowly because I am not trying to spend my weekends hugging the toilet. Side effects were there but mostly mild, some nausea on shot day and a little early satiety that was almost weird at first.
What I have actually noticed. Appetite suppression feels different from tirz, less of a constant food background hum and more of a clean "I forgot to eat" thing. Resting heart rate ticked up a few bpm which I expected from the data. Weight is finally moving again, down about 5 pounds in 4 weeks which is slow but it is actually going down.
Curious if anyone else has stacked retatrutide with a short AOD-9604 run to push past stubborn lower ab fat or if that is overkill.

- nina_m: Congrats on finally breaking the stall, that plateau phase is honestly the worst part mentally. The "I forgot to eat" thing you described is really interesting because it does feel qualitatively different from tirz, way less obsessive food noise for me too, more of just genuine disinterest. The RHR bump is worth keeping an eye on long term, mine went up about 4 to 5 bpm and stayed there. Has it leveled off for you or kept climbing? Also did you keep the same dose equivalent when you switched or
- weekendnate: On the RHR, mine went from around 52 to 57 in week two and has stayed there, hasn't climbed any further since. Dose wise I actually dropped the equivalent, started at 2 mg retatrutide which is well below where my tirz dose was when I stalled. Wanted a softer landing. And yeah the food noise shift is real, that's the part that actually sold me on the switch more than the scale moving. Curious if you noticed the same once you got past the first few weeks or if it faded?
- weekendnate: Yeah the appetite thing is weird with this one, way more "I genuinely forgot to eat" than the kind of willpower override I had on tirz. RHR went up about 3 bpm in the first two weeks and seems to have settled there for now, I'll keep watching it. I dropped to a lower starting dose when I switched rather than going equivalent, wanted to ease into the GI side and so far that seems to have been the right call.
