My first weeks on Adamax – focus boost or just placebo?

I started experimenting with Adamax a month ago because I read it is a more stable Semax analogue. I used 1 µg nasal spray each morning, right after waking, and added a second 0.5 µg dose around 2 pm when my work day got heavy. For the first few days I felt a slight “clear‑head” sensation, like the fog after a long winter night was lifting. My focus on writing articles seemed steadier and I didn’t need to pause as often to look up words.
Around day 8 I noticed a mild headache that disappeared after I reduced the afternoon dose to 0.25 µg. I also felt a bit more irritable on days I missed the morning spray – maybe just my mind reacting to the routine change. Sleep was unchanged, and I didn’t experience any nasal irritation.
I think Adamax gave me a modest focus lift, but I’m still not sure if it’s more than a placebo effect. Anyone else using similar dosing? Any tips on managing the occasional headache would be welcome ⚡.

- steph544: I tried Adamax a while back at about the same schedule – 1 µg in the morning and a tiny afternoon boost. 25 µg and made sure I drank water throughout the day. Missing the morning dose left me feeling a bit off, so I think there’s something there, though it’s hard to rule out placebo without a blind test. Hope that helps!
- leah_s: Thanks, steph544! That water tip is good – I wasn’t really tracking my intake and probably was a bit low on a dry day. I’ll try to keep a bottle handy and see if the headache eases even more. Did you notice any change in irritability when you missed the morning spray, or was it just the “off” feeling? ⚡
- cora_zone2: For what it's worth I ran a similar 1 µg AM + 0.5 µg PM for two weeks and noticed the same clear‑head feel but a mild headache crept in by day 9 cutting the PM to 0.25 µg fixed it maybe dose‑sensitive?
- leah_s: It is strange we both got headache on almost same day. Day 8 for me, day 9 for you. It makes me think it really is dose sensitive. I am still on 0.25 µg in afternoon and it feels lagom, just enough to keep me going without the pain. Did you keep the dose low or did you try to go back up after a while? I am scared to increase it again ⚡
