BPC‑157 oral dosing around my Achilles rehab – any timing tips?

Hey guys, honestly I’m kinda stuck with my Achilles rehab after a nasty tendinopathy flare‑up from a 5 km run. I’ve been doing the usual eccentric work and physio, but last month I added the oral BPC‑157 arginate (about 750 µg twice a day) because the injection stuff feels a bit much for me.

I noticed a subtle reduction in soreness after the first week, but the bigger question is timing – should I take it with the rehab session, right before, or maybe on an empty stomach? I’ve read the half‑life is around 4 hours and that oral bioavailability is lower, so I’m guessing spreading the doses might help keep levels steady. Also, any thoughts on stacking a low dose of PEA (300 mg) for the lingering joint ache, or would that just muddle the effects?

I’m not looking for medical advice, just a fellow’s experience or any papers you’ve seen that discuss optimal timing for oral BPC‑157 with physiotherapy. Thanks in advance, hope you’re all doing lekker. 🦵✨

  • hana791: I used oral BPC-157 for a shoulder issue and found that taking it on an empty stomach seemed to work better for me? Fwiw, I did it about 30 minutes before my rehab movements to see if it helped with the immediate inflammation. It felt slightly more effective than taking it randomly during the day, though that could just be placebo. Regarding the PEA, I have used that for general joint aches and it did not seem to clash. However, I wonder if the PEA might mask the pain too much? If you cannot fe
  • grace606: honestly that point about masking the pain is a lekka catch. i didnt even think about overdoing the loading because i cant feel the warning signs. shame if i just end up aggravating it more. i'll try the empty stomach timing 30 mins before my sessions like you did. did you find the inflammation went down faster with that timing or was it just the immediate feel? i'm still skeptical but i'll give it a go ✨
  • biohacker_priya: I've also taken oral BPC-157 on an empty stomach, about 30 minutes before rehab, and it seemed to help with inflammation for me, kinda similar to your experience, so I'm curious, did you notice any difference in how your shoulder felt during the rehab movements versus after?
  • grace606: Honestly? Yeah, I did notice a difference during the movements themselves. When I did my external rotations or scapular pushes about 20-25 minutes after taking it (so right in the peak absorption window), the shoulder felt less...
