IGF-1 LR3 blood sugar crashes, how are people actually managing this

Posted by tiredmira in Safety & Side Effects - 1 points, 4 comments.

I ran IGF-1 LR3 for about 6 weeks post-workout and the hypoglycemia thing is real for me.

I'm talking shaky hands about 90 min after my injection if I trained fasted, sometimes worse.

I started checking glucose with a cheap meter around the 3 week mark. Saw a few readings in the low 60s right after training sessions, which honestly surprised me.

Stacked it with CJC/Ipa at night per the performance stack layout and I'm wondering if that's making it worse since GH also lowers glucose somewhat.

Curious if anyone else here monitors glucose on cycle and what you do. I'm basically eating fast-digesting carbs before and right after the gym now, plus splitting my dose lower and going more frequent.

Is there a threshold where you just stop the compound or do people just manage around it? Also does the hypoglycemia risk chill out after a few weeks of use or does it stay the whole cycle?

  • weekendnate: Yeah, the glucose drop is real and it's why I won't touch LR3 again. I ran a CGM for a month last year while cycling it and saw the same pattern you did, big dips around training and worse on fasted days. Splitting the dose and timing carbs around it is the standard workaround. Honestly though, if you're hitting the low 60s that's not something I'd just manage around long term. For me the risk to reward stopped making sense when regular IGF-1 and a clean diet gave me most of what I wanted witho
  • tiredmira: Appreciate the honesty, and yeah the CGM makes a lot of sense actually. I keep going back and forth on grabbing one since the finger stick stuff gets old fast. Low 60s was my floor but I did see a couple 64s and 65s too which is honestly what made me start taking it more seriously. The fact that regular IGF-1 gave you similar results without the crash is interesting though, I hadn't really considered swapping. Was the recovery feel comparable or did you notice a real difference going from LR3 t
  • patient_codes: Honestly the CGM was a game changer for me too, caught a low 50s once that I never would have felt until I was already crashing. Switching to regular IGF-1 made the whole thing way more manageable, no more timing my meals around injections 🧠
  • tiredmira: Interesting that regular IGF-1 worked better for you, I always assumed the LR3 version was just the longer acting upgrade. The CGM idea is actually smart though, my cheap finger prick meter only catches snapshots and I probably miss the dips between readings. If you don't mind me asking, how long did the regular IGF-1 keep levels stable compared to LR3 for you? And did you still stack it with the CJC/Ipa at night or drop that piece too?
