CJC/Ipa cycle length, 5 days on 2 off actually backed by anything or just a bro thing?

Right so I've been running cjc 1295 no dac plus ipa pretty much daily for about 5 months now, 100/100 three times a day, fasted when I can be arsed (which is mostly mornings). Recent IGF-1 came back at 245 from a baseline of 170, so something is moving, not complaining there.
But the pulsing question is what's been on my mind lately. I've seen a few people swearing by 5 on 2 off to avoid receptor desensitisation, and others running 2 weeks on 1 week off, and the rest of us just doing it every day like robots.
Genuinely asking, is there any actual evidence that 5/2 does anything meaningful versus just blasting it daily? Or is this one of those things that became "common knowledge" because it sounded plausible and got repeated enough? From what I understand the GHRPs work through a different receptor to GHRH so I'm a bit sceptical that the pituitary needs a "rest" the way the bits getting hit would.
Also ngl my sleep on it is class when I dose before bed, but the hunger from the GHRP side keeps me waking up wanting toast at 4am sometimes. Anyone found a way round that or is it just part of the deal?

- labrat_protocol: Honestly the 5 on 2 off thing sounds like gym lore that just kinda took on a life of its own. Not gonna lie i've done both and couldn't tell the difference in how i felt, sleep or otherwise. The only thing i noticed was when i skipped my bedtime dose for a couple days my rem felt weirder but that could be a million things. On the ghrelin hunger thing, welcome to the club. Timed my last dose a bit earlier in the evening and it helped a little. Still get some 4am nonsense though, mostly just deal
- tiredmira: Yeah I run basically the same setup, 100/100 three times a day, and honestly couldn't tell you if the 5/2 pattern does anything beyond what daily does. My IGF-1 went from 168 to 252 over about 4 months either way. The ghrelin thing is real though, I get the same late night cravings.
- fasted_scientist: Cheers for the reply mate, your IGF-1 numbers are spookily close to mine (252 vs my 245, very similar baseline too). That's actually useful because it suggests 100/100 three times daily is probably already saturating whatever it's going to saturate, so a weekly rest day probably doesn't change the outcome that much. At least that's my read of it. Ngl though I'm half tempted to try a proper 5/2 block for 8 weeks just to see if my numbers budge differently. Would feel a bit pointless if they came
- fasted_scientist: Honestly cheers, that's sort of where I've got to in my head too. The 5/2 stuff reads more like something that sounded clever and got parroted than anything with actual meat behind it. The ghrelin receptor desensitisation angle doesn't really hold up when you look at how GHS-R1a behaves in the literature anyway, so I reckon I'm just gonna stick with daily and stop overthinking it. The bedtime dose moving earlier is a decent shout though, ngl I'd not tried that properly. I've been pinning at lik
- freya530: Fwiw the saturation take makes sense to me too. My ipa is actually ipamorelin, felt cleaner than ghrp-6 and didn't make me hungry like a teenage linebacker. If I were you I'd just pick the schedule you'll actually stick with, since the difference is probably noise either way.
