Fisetin as a senolytic, anyone actually doing the hit and run protocol?

Ngl i'm pretty new to all this longevity stuff and i've been going down a proper rabbit hole lately. Started reading about senolytics and the idea of clearing out senescent cells actually made sense to me, way more than just chasing antioxidants like i used to.
I'm eyeing fisetin as the entry point because it sounds gentler than some of the others, and the short half life means you're not on it constantly which appeals. I've been looking at the profiles on here and the 20 mg/kg hit day style protocols come up a lot. Is anyone actually running it like that? Like real hit and run, not daily?
Also a daft question maybe, but do you take it with fat to help absorption like i've seen mentioned? I keep going back and forth on whether to bother with something like this before getting proper bloodwork and a clear baseline sorted first. Keen to hear what people who've actually tried it reckon, good or bad.

- rows_mom: An interesting question. Id say youre asking the right questions already, especially the baseline thing. Most people skip that and just start popping stuff. On the fat question, fisetin is fat soluble so yes itll absorb better with a meal containing fat. Olive oil, avocado, whatever youre having. Not a huge deal either way but its a freebie if youre already eating. The hit and run thing is the whole point with senolytics. You want a big enough pulse to actually trigger apoptosis in those cells
- rational_coldplunge758: Yeah exactly, the pulse idea makes sense to me too. I ran it two days in a row at around the 20 mg/kg mark, both times with a fatty meal (eggs and avocado, no? Pretty standard), then stopped. Honestly hard to say if anything happened, maybe a tiny bit of fatigue the next day but that could be just the fasting window I was in.
- priya_labrat: Cheers for sharing that, good to hear how someone else actually ran it. Two days back to back is interesting, i was thinking more like one hit day and then done, but spreading it across two might be easier on the gut tbh. The eggs and avocado combo makes sense, i'd probably do something similar with dinner anyway. Did you notice anything at all a week or two out? Like with sleep or joints or anything you weren't expecting? Ngl i'm trying to figure out if there's even a point noticing in the sho
- priya_labrat: Cheers for that, reckon it makes a lot more sense now? Ngl i was worried i was missing some key detail by not doing it daily. I'll definitely just take it with a bit of avocado then, seems like a doddle. Do you think doing the hit and run once a month is enough or is that too sparse? Still leaning towards getting that baseline bloodwork first though just to be safe?
