"Semax intranasal, does the timing actually matter as much as people claim?"

Ok so i have been messing around with Semax for a few weeks now, mostly the standard nasal spray dose, and i keep seeing people argue about whether you HAVE to take it 20-30 mins before deep work or if just doing it whenever is fine. I have tried both and honestly for me the timing thing feels overblown, but i am also the type where i don't always notice subtle stuff right away πŸ˜…

What i do notice is that on days i take it on an empty nose (like not right after coffee or food), it seems to hit cleaner. Less of that wired-but-tired feeling. And on days i stack it with a morning workout i feel like the focus carries into the afternoon way better, whereas desk-only days it kind of fades by 3pm and i get a bit irritable.

Also curious if anyone has tried pairing it with a tiny bit of methylene blue for the mitochondrial angle? I keep reading about that combo and it makes me a bit giddy ngl, the BDNF plus cellular energy thing sounds almost too good. But i want to hear from anyone actually doing it before i add anything new.

How are you guys timing yours? And does the empty nose thing hold up for you or am i imagining it ⚑

  • robin616: Honestly the empty nose thing tracks for me too, and I do not think you are imagining it. For me nasal sprays in general hit different when there is nothing else in there. Maybe just better absorption, maybe placebo, hard to say but the pattern is pretty consistent over a few weeks of paying attention πŸ”₯ On timing, I stopped being religious about the 20 to 30 min window a while ago. I do morning on training days with my coffee and it carries. On rest days I wait a bit longer before deep work an
  • elle_z: Yeah robin616 the empty nose thing is real for me too, I noticed less jitter when I skip coffee before spraying πŸ˜… On desk days I still crash around 3pm though, wonder if adding a tiny MB dose could smooth that out, have you tried any mitochondrial stack with it?
  • elle_z: Yeah the empty nose thing isn't talked about enough imo. And yeah prob a mix of actual absorption plus just feeling it land quicker when nothing else is competing. Coffee right before feels like it dulls the edge a bit for me too, same as food. I usually wait like 20 mins after my morning coffee now and it sits better ⚑
