P21 vs Adamax for daily focus, anyone tried both?

I have been digging into the cognitive peptide world for a while now and I keep going back and forth between P21 and Adamax for daytime focus stuff. P21 seems interesting because of the BDNF bump and hippocampal neurogenesis angle, which sounds like a slower build but more lasting change kind of thing. Adamax is more of a Semax family analog so I would expect more immediate focus effects, kinda like a cleaner Semax that lasts longer, but the overstimulation worry is real for me.

For anyone who has actually used one or both, what did you notice in real life? Like, did P21 feel subtle at first and build, or did you notice something right away? And Adamax, did it actually feel different from plain Semax or just kinda similar with a longer tail? I am trying to decide if I want the synaptogenesis angle or the more acute focus angle right now 🧠

Also open to hearing why some of you ended up combining them or stacking with something else. Just curious what real people are experiencing with these two.

  • elle_z: I’ve tried both over the past few months lah. P21 felt pretty subtle at first – almost nothing for the first week – then around day 10 I noticed a clearer headspace when reading and less mental fatigue in the evenings. It wasn’t a jolt, more like a steady background lift âš¡. Adamax hit me faster, within 30‑45 minutes after a nasal spray, giving that sharp, clean focus similar to Semax but the edge lasted a few hours longer without the crash I sometimes get from plain Semax. I didn’t stack them t
  • patient_chemist510: Interesting, your P21 timeline matches mine roughly. I am also seeing that slow build thing, like nothing happens for a week and then suddenly I am reading longer without drifting off. Adamax on the other hand I found a bit too sharp if I take it after noon, sleep goes off for me. Do you take it only in the morning itself, or have you tried afternoon dosing also?
  • skeptical_recovery: Yeah that tracks for me too, P21 was super subtle the first week or so, I almost gave up on it honestly. Then around week two I noticed I was just getting through my reading list faster without feeling fried after. Adamax was noticeably faster acting for me as well, kind of a clean alertness without the jitters I get from coffee on an empty stomach. I keep them separate too, never stacked.
  • patient_codes: That is super helpful, The "got through my reading list without feeling fried" part kinda sold me on P21, that is exactly the kind of thing I am chasing right now. Question though, when you say week two is when it clicked, were you doing it daily that whole time or did you take weekends off? I am wondering if daily vs a few times a week changes how it builds up.
  • patient_codes: Yeah the slow build with P21 was real for me too, around week two I noticed I was just getting through my reading list without it feeling like a chore. With Adamax I stick to mornings only, like before 10am, otherwise I am wired at 1am. Have you tried splitting the dose, like half in the morning and half at lunch, or is it all or nothing for you?
  • patient_codes: That tracks really well with what I have been seeing in my own notes, especially the subtle build with P21, I kinda had a feeling it would be like that and not some dramatic day one shift. The day 10 mention is super helpful because I was worried I would give up too early thinking it was not doing anything. For Adamax, the longer tail without the crash part is exactly what I am hoping for, plain Semax does kind of fizzle for me around hour 3 and it is annoying. Did you ever try them on the same
  • grinder265: Ngl I’ve tried splitting Adamax 150mcg AM and 150mcg early afternoon, still felt a bit jittery by evening so I dropped the lunch dose. P21 I just take once daily morning, no split needed for me.
