CagriSema vs straight sema, anyone split it out?

Been on compounded sema for about 14 weeks now, currently at 1.7mg. Down around 18 lbs which I'm happy with but the last few weeks it feels like the appetite suppression is softening a bit and my weight is moving slower.

Was reading the CagriSema profile on here and the dual pathway thing (amylin plus GLP-1) got me curious. Curious if anyone here has tried cagrilintide solo alongside their sema, or just gone straight to the combo. How was the nausea compared to monotherapy? That's the one thing holding me back, I had a rough first 6 weeks and don't want to go back to that lol.

Also wondering if the extra appetite suppression is actually meaningful in practice or if it's one of those things that looks bigger on paper than it feels. My next labs are in 3 weeks so I'll see what the numbers say then. Anyone got a feel for where sema alone kinda plateaus for most people?

  • evan_l: Honestly the appetite softening you describe around month 3 to 4 is something a lot of people report, doesnt mean the drug has stopped working, more that your body adapts a bit to the signalling. Sema plateau is a real thing anecdotally, most seem to get diminishing returns somewhere between 1.7 and 2.4mg before they need to reassess. Cagrilintide solo alongside sema is an interesting middle path, gives you the amylin piece without going to the fixed combo. The nausea question is fair though, a
  • tracker_scott: Yeah that adaptive signalling thing tracks, my food noise kinda crept back in the last 2 weeks which is what made me start poking around. The 1.7 to 2.4 range you brought up is helpful, i was kinda dreading going to 2.4 but if thats where most people actually need to be to keep moving then maybe thats the move before adding cagrilintide into the mix. The lack of clean data on solo cagri nausea vs combo nausea is kinda my whole hesitation tbh. Did you ever try it solo or just read about it?
  • early_scientist: Yeah the adaptation thing tracks with what ive seen too, body just gets used to the signalling after a while. For me the slow down was more about me getting comfortable with the new appetite and slipping on food choices tbh, not just pharmacology. Not saying thats your situation though. On the cagri solo question, im honestly curious if anyone has actual user logs separating it from the combo cause the studies bundle them together so its hard to tell whats doing what 😴
  • tracker_scott: Ya the food choice thing is prob part of it for me too, the first month i was logging everything and now im kinda eyeballing portions and grabbing convenience stuff on busy days... So that probably explains some of the stall. On the studies bundling them, never thought about it that way but yeah it makes it hard to tell if the amylin part is doing real work or just riding the GLP-1 wave. Would be nice to see someone run cagrilintide on its own vs the combo just to see the curves. Gonna keep an
