BPC-157 oral vs injectable for a nagging Achilles tendinopathy, what actually worked for you?

Ive been dealing with low grade Achilles tendinopathy for like 8 months now and im kinda at my wits end. Did the standard stuff, eccentric heel drops, loaded calf work, cut running volume way back, and its better than it was but still there. Like a dull ache when i first stand up in the morning and after long days on my feet.
Ive read through a bunch of the BPC-157 stuff here and im trying to figure out if i should bother with the oral arginate form or just go straight to injectable. The oral convenience is appealing, but from what ive seen people say the injectable seems more reliable for tendon stuff specifically. Has anyone with actual Achilles experience compared the two? Curious if the oral version gave anyone noticeable results for soft tissue or if its more of a gut healing thing.
Also, would love to hear timing around rehab work. Like do you dose it right before your heel drop sessions or spread it out through the day? Trying to figure out a practical setup before i pull the trigger on anything.

- kim174: Honestly the oral vs injectable debate for tendon stuff is basically a coin flip in my own tracking. My achilles complaint was way less stubborn than yours but the injectable route gave me more consistent results, oral arginate felt kinda hit or miss for anything below the gut. Timing wise i dosed morning and evening on training days and just once a day on off days. Didnt get fancy about lining it up with heel drops, seemed to matter less than just being consistent over weeks. The boring answer
- practicalluis: Yeah timing never made a huge difference for me either, just staying on it consistently for a few weeks. Ngl the morning stiffness is the part that takes longest to fade in my experience, the pain during loading tends to calm down sooner. Are you also doing any isometrics for the calf or just the eccentrics? That combo seemed to help me more than eccentrics alone back when i had a similar issue.
- dad_talia: Yeah thats reassuring to hear that morning stiffness is the slow part, because thats definitely my main complaint right now. For your question, ive been sticking mostly to the eccentrics with a bit of heavy slow resistance work mixed in, but honestly ive been slacking on any true isometric holds. What protocol did you follow for the isometrics? Like sets and time under tension or duration of holds?
- dad_talia: Yeah the boring answer tracks with me honestly. Consistency over timing tricks. Youre the second person to tell me injectable felt more reliable for tendon stuff, so im probably just gonna do that and skip the oral for this. Im not in a rush either so weeks not days is fine by me. The morning stiffness thing is exactly it, like the first 10 steps out of bed are the worst and then it loosens up. Did yours ever fully resolve or are you still managing it?
