NA-Selank Amidate nasal irritation getting worse at week 3, anyone else?

Hey all, I've been on NA-Selank Amidate for about three weeks now, using it intranasal in the morning for that calm focus thing I was chasing. The first week or so felt great, kind of a smooth alertness without the jitters I get from stims, and my anxiety dialed down a notch, or at least it seemed like it.
But the nasal irritation is getting worse, not better. Starts as a mild burn about 30 seconds after I spray, then turns into this dry almost-raw feeling inside my nose that lasts a couple hours. By day three this week it was bad enough I almost skipped a dose because I didn't want to deal with it.
I've tried spraying less volume per nostril, and I do saline rinse before and after. Is this just an adjustment thing my body gets past, or does it mean I need to drop the dose or switch to regular Selank? Curious what others have actually run into long term π¬

- grinder265: The burn ramp up around then is usually a sign the preservative or the buffer is starting to irritate the mucosa, especially with amidated versions since the solubility profile is different from the base peptide. Saline before AND after can actually make it worse if you're drying out the mucosal layer too much, sometimes just a plain water rinse or skipping the post rinse helps. Three weeks in and it's getting worse not better is not really an adjustment thing imo. I'd be curious what concentra
- quiet_ironman: Good call on the post rinse, I never thought about saline being part of the problem since I've been treating it like it's helping. I'll try just a plain water rinse before and skip after for a few days and see if that changes things. I'm running about 250 mcg per spray, three sprays per nostril, so roughly 1.5 mg total in the morning. That sounds like a lot of volume now that I'm typing it out honestly π¬
- dailydan: Yeah my money is on the buffer or whatever carrier solvent they used tbh, same thing happened to me on a different amidated peptide around week 2 and dialing back the concentration per spray helped way more than the saline before/after stuff, which honestly made mine feel worse too π
- quiet_ironman: Interesting, you think it's the carrier solvent rather than the actual peptide? I hadn't really considered that, I was so focused on dose and technique. Dialing back concentration per spray, do you mean just diluting it further or splitting sprays across the day? And yeah the saline rinse honestly might be drying me out more, I'll try skipping the after rinse and see if that helps π
