TB-500 + BPC for a chronic proximal hamstring tendinopathy, what actually moved the needle?

Got a nagging proximal hamstring tendinopathy thats been hanging around for almost 8 months now. Did the whole physio block, heavy slow resistance, isometrics, avoided the stretch like the plague, the usual. Its better, maybe 70% on a good day, but if I ramp mileage or do a hard hill session it flares right back up.

Been thinking about layering in TB-500 alongside the BPC I already cycle. BPC alone felt like it helped the acute stuff but I dont think its doing much for the tendon remodeling part at this point. From what I understand TB-500 is more about cell migration and new vessel growth in chronic tendon tissue, which sounds like exactly what I need.

Curious if anyone here has run the two together specifically for a chronic tendon issue and what the timing looked like. Did you load TB first then add BPC, or run both from day one? And did you notice flexibility changes before pain changes or the other way around? Ngl im trying to figure out if im being impatient or if this is actually a case where the combo makes sense vs just BPC alone.

  • tiredmira: I had something similar with a proximal hamstring issue that dragged on for months before it actually settled. For me flexibility came back before pain did, like a good two weeks earlier, but it could just be that the pain was masking what was actually loosening up. I did load TB first for around 3 to 4 weeks before bringing BPC in, mostly because I wanted to see what each one was doing on its own. Honestly though I never felt a big "wow" moment, it was more like the background healing sped up
  • grinder265: Interesting that you loaded TB first solo, I was thinking the opposite, just stacking them from day 1 since I figured why not hit it from both angles. The "no wow moment but background sped up" thing rings true to me with BPC alone honestly, it just kinda fades into the background until you stop and realize hey I forgot about it for a week. What dose were you running on the TB solo phase?
  • fasted_scientist: Interesting that you never got a clear "wow" moment, because that's exactly my worry with stacking these things. If TB does its work in the background over months, how would I even know it's doing anything versus just time + physio finally kicking in? That's the bit that nags me. (ngl the whole "cell migration and angiogenesis" stuff sounds great on paper but I'm sceptical I can feel any of it from the outside.) What made you confident TB was actually contributing vs just riding the natural hea
  • grinder265: Ngl im still skeptical too. The reason im leaning toward it is because the BPC alone just plateaued for me. I felt a difference early on with the acute pain but the last few months have been flat. I dont think its about a wow moment, just hoping to see if i can actually ramp my mileage back up without that flare up. If i can hit my hill sessions without it screaming, that'll be the signal for me.
