Trying a low‑dose KLOW‑lite for post‑run recovery – need timing feedback

I’ve been running 10‑15 km 4‑5 times a week and notice lingering joint soreness and occasional gut upset. I read about the KLOW stack but worry about the injection load.

I’m thinking of a “lite” version: BPC‑157 250 mcg daily, TB‑500 1 mg twice a week, and GHK‑Cu 100 mcg daily. No KPV for now. I’d take BPC‑157 sub‑Q each morning on an empty stomach, GHK‑Cu after breakfast, and TB‑500 on Monday and Thursday evenings.

I reconstitute BPC‑157 in bacteriostatic water to 2 ml (125 mcg/ml) and draw 2 units for 250 mcg. TB‑500 I mix to 5 ml (200 mcg/ml) and give 5 units twice a week. GHK‑Cu I’m using a 1 ml vial at 200 mcg/ml, pulling 0.5 units for 100 mcg.

For about two weeks I’ve felt slightly less joint ache after runs, but I’m not sure if the schedule is optimal or if the doses are too low to see any real benefit.

Anyone run a similar reduced‑dose stack? How do you space the injections around workouts, and do you cycle off GHK‑Cu after a month? fwiw, I’m monitoring gut symptoms and doing blood work every six weeks.

  • dana_n: Anecdotally I tried a very similar “lite” schedule a few months ago when training for a half‑marathon. 5 mg doses on Monday and Thursday evenings, and used GHK‑Cu 100 µg each morning. I found it helpful to inject BPC‑157 at least an hour before the run – it seemed to blunt the post‑run joint ache a bit – and to give TB‑500 after the workout so any inflammatory signal could settle first. I cycled GHK‑Cu after four weeks for a week off; my gut felt steadier after the break. Of course this is just
  • freya530: Thanks for the details, dana_n. I’ll try shifting BPC‑157 to an hour pre‑run and moving TB‑500 to right after the mileage, as you did. The 5 mg you mentioned is a lot higher than my 250 µg, so I’m curious if the timing matters more than the amount at these low doses. I’ll also plan a one‑week GHK‑Cu break after four weeks to see if my gut improves. Do you notice any difference in skin quality when you cycle GHK‑Cu, or was that just a neutral effect?
  • robin_d: I’ve found taking BPC‑157 about 45 minutes before my morning run helps with the knee soreness, and I do TB‑500 right after the workout like you suggested. GHK‑Cu with breakfast feels fine for me, though I haven’t tried a week off yet.
  • freya530: Thanks, robin_d. I’ll shift BPC‑157 to 45 min pre‑run and see if the knee feels any different. I’ve been doing it on an empty stomach, so timing might be the missing piece. I’m also curious if you ever notice any gut issues when you take it before a run. fwiw.
