Considering my first longevity stack, where would you start?

Hey everyone, fairly new to all this so go easy on me. I've been reading about longevity for a while now (came into it through the usual rabbit hole, sleep, biomarkers, all of it) and I'm finally thinking about dipping a toe in properly.
The Immortality Stack on here honestly caught my eye because it ticks a few boxes I'd want to cover, telomeres, mitochondria, senescent cells, the lot. But it's a big commitment for a first timer.
For those who've actually been on multiple compounds, how did you phase things in? Did you start with one thing, get bloodwork, then add the next? Or is there a sensible order you'd suggest for someone just starting out?
I'm 38, bloods are decent but I want a baseline before I touch anything. Sleep is probably my weakest link right now, which is partly why epithalon stood out to me (the melatonin angle).
Also genuinely curious, is rapamycin something people only add later, or do some of you kick off with it alongside the peptides? I keep reading different things.
Not chasing miracles, just want to do this properly and not rush. Any honest input appreciated.

- quiet_longevity568: Congrats on starting out the careful way, bloodwork first is honestly the smartest move you can make, no? From what I've seen on here and chatting with people, the phase-in approach you described (one at a time, bloods, then add) is pretty much what the cautious crowd does. That way if something feels off or your numbers move weirdly, you actually know what's doing it. Sleep being your weak link makes total sense as a starting point, and I think a lot of folks would agree that fixing the boring
- nightmarcus: Yeah the phase in thing is basically what I did too, one at a time so you can actually see what each thing is doing to your numbers, otherwise it's just noise imo. And 100% on sleep first, I wasted months on other stuff before I got that dialed in and honestly once I did half the other issues kinda sorted themselves out 🔥
- patientomar: Yeah that's basically my gut feeling too, I was just hoping someone would confirm it lol. Did you actually track your sleep with anything or just go by feel? (I've got a whoop but I don't fully trust its recovery score if I'm being honest). And when you say dialed it in, what actually moved the needle for you? Mine's mostly falling asleep fine then waking up at like 3am, which is doing my head in.
- patientomar: Yeah man, appreciate that. The "fix the boring stuff first" thing keeps coming up and honestly it's probably the bit I need to hear most (I jump at the shiny new compound before sorting out the basics, classic). So my question back to you, if sleep is the weak link, would you actually start with a peptide like epithalon, or just hammer the sleep hygiene for a few months first and reassess? I'm a bit nervous about adding something for sleep when I haven't even tried the boring route properly yet
- weekendnate: Totally fair to feel that out before pulling the trigger. For me, if sleep is genuinely the weak link, I'd grind the boring stuff for at least 8 to 12 weeks first and track HRV and a sleep score against it. If you're still flat after that, then something like epithalon makes more sense because you'll actually be able to tell if it's doing anything.
- patientomar: Yeah that makes sense honestly, I was kind of jumping ahead. My HRV is all over the place on my watch (Garmin gives me a number but honestly I don't know how much I trust it) and my sleep score sits around 70 most nights, some weeks worse. When you say the boring stuff, do you mean the usual sleep hygiene checklist (cool room, no screens, consistent bedtime) or is there more to it than that? And what would you actually track alongside HRV to know if it's working or if I'm just spinning my wheel
