This is a writeup from Springfield PT that walks through the 2006 JCEM paper on CJC-1295 in healthy adults, which showed dose-dependent bumps in GH and IGF-1 over a few weeks. They also touch on the small ipamorelin data and try to explain why people stack the two.
Honestly, the part I keep coming back to is how thin the human data still is. One small study from 20 years ago does not a body of evidence make, and most of what gets repeated online is people extrapolating from rodent work or just from how the mechanism sounds on paper. The article is fair about that, but I think a lot of readers will skip past the caveats.
For anyone who has actually run a GHRH plus GHRP combo long term, did bloodwork show meaningful IGF-1 changes, or did the numbers stay flat for you too?

- data_cycles: Yeah the human data on this stuff is still pretty thin, people forget that paper was like a dozen people over a few weeks. I ran a ghrh/ghrp combo for a few months a couple years back, did bloodwork before and during. My igf-1 did move up but not dramatically, maybe into the upper end of the range for my age. Recovery from hard training sessions felt a bit better to be fair but could honestly be placebo. The bigger thing i noticed was sleep quality took a hit if i dosed too late...
- scientist_honest506: The sleep thing is so real... I had the same issue when I was playing with a ghrp combo last year. If I dosed after like 9pm I would wake up at 3am and just stare at the ceiling. Moved it earlier and it got better, but it still was not the deep sleep I was expecting from what everyone talks about, no? For me the recovery benefit was subtle too, more or less the same as you.
- vet_honest: Sleep timing is a good callout though, that tracks with what ive heard from a few people too. Late dosing and poor sleep is such a common pattern with the ghrh/ghrp combos. Did your bloodwork show anything else shift, like fasting glucose or lipids, or was it mainly the igf-1 that moved?
- daily_biohacker: Honestly my lipids barely budged, maybe a small drop in triglycerides but nothing I would bet money on. Fasting glucose actually ticked up a little which surprised me at the time, but it could just be noise from the lab that day. I did not run a full metabolic panel as often as I should have, that is on me... For you, was the igf-1 number itself disappointing relative to the dose, or did it feel proportional?
- daily_biohacker: Yeah, the timing thing is probably what most people get wrong first. I moved mine to right after dinner, around 7, and that helped a lot, but honestly the "amazing sleep" claim was never my experience either. Recovery felt maybe a little better, hard to tell from training alone. Did you ever pull bloodwork, or just go off how you felt?
- daily_biohacker: Upper end of range, not a dramatic move, that kind of lines up with what I would expect from the mechanism alone honestly. The sleep thing is interesting though, I have not seen many people mention that side. How late is "too late" for you, like within two hours of bed or closer?
