NA Selank amidate vs regular Selank, anyone compared the two?

Ok so i've been running plain Selank intranasally for about 6 weeks, mostly for work anxiety tbh, freelance deadlines + general overthinking. It worked, kind of took the edge off without making me sleepy which I appreciated. But I was reading through the profiles here and noticed the NA Selank Amidate version is supposed to last way longer because of the modifications.

For those who have tried both, can I ask... Did the longer-acting version actually feel meaningfully different day to day? Like more steady calm vs the short bumps from regular Selank that kinda fade after a few hours? I'm dosing regular Selank like 3x a day right now which is fine but honestly a bit annoying to remember πŸ˜…

Also slightly curious if anyone noticed the anxiolytic effect being stronger with the amidate or just smoother. And whether splitting the daily dose or doing it once made a difference for you. Not looking to switch just to switch, but if the duration claim is real for people who tried it, might be worth exploring. Just my own setup so no need for me to copy anyone exactly, more curious how others found it.

  • trevor_hikes: I ran regular Selank for a stretch and yeah, the 3x daily thing gets old fast, plus I always felt a little dip before the next dose, kinda subtle but there. I tried the amidate version later on and for me it did feel smoother through the day, less of that up and down. I kept the same total daily amount, just once in the morning, and the effect seemed more even across the afternoon and evening. Whether the anxiolytic effect is stronger, I can't really say it was, it just seemed more consistent
  • practical_sleep: Interesting, that lines up with what I was curious about. The 3x daily thing was part of why I never stuck with regular Selank longer, the routine itself started to feel like a small stressor, no? So once a day would already be a win for me even if the effect is similar. I'll try the amidate form and keep a simple log like you said, just a couple lines on how the day felt, nothing fancy.
  • fasted_scientist: Yeah the dips are real, I got the same thing on regular selank and it's a faff doing it 3x. Amidate being once a day was the main selling point for me tbh, not chasing a bigger effect. Ngl I never logged it properly though, just went by feel.
  • elle_z: Honestly same, the 3x thing was getting old, I'd forget my afternoon one half the time lol. The once a day angle is basically why I want to try it. You said you went by feel, that's fine, but can I ask roughly how long the calm lasted before you felt it wearing off? Like did you wake up the next day still feeling it or was it more of a same-day thing?
  • elle_z: Lol right, the routine itself becoming a thing was honestly part of my motivation to look into the amidate. Like why am I setting phone alarms 3x a day just to not feel anxious about setting phone alarms πŸ˜… if the once-daily version is even close to as effective that's already a win. Let me know how your first week goes, I might order some myself if the logs from people here keep looking decent.
  • elle_z: That's actually reassuring that the effect was more consistent rather than just stronger, I was worried I'd be chasing a bigger feeling that wasn't really there if that makes sense. The dip thing you mentioned, I'd notice that too around hour 4 or 5, nothing dramatic but just enough to remind me to dose again. Question for you though, how long have you been on the amidate version now? Did the once daily hold up over weeks or did you find the effect kinda shift on you?
