Torn achilles rehab, stacking bpc-157 with tb-500 timing?

So i am about 6 weeks out from a partial achilles tear, nothing full rupture but bad enough i was in a boot for a month and now i am doing slow rehab work. I have run bpc-157 before for a tendinitis thing in my elbow and it seemed to help, that was maybe 3 years ago now, but i never stacked it with tb-500 and i am wondering if it is worth it for a bigger soft tissue injury like this.

For what it is worth my plan was to run bpc-157 at the higher end of what i see people talk about, split into two doses morning and night, and start light rehab at the same time. Is there a reason to add tb-500 on top, or does bpc cover the tendon/ligament healing on its own and i am just chasing extra by adding another compound? Also curious if anyone has run the oral bpc alongside the injectable, or if that is overkill and one route is enough.

  • quiet_ironman: For me the stack did seem to help a tendon issue recover faster than either one alone, but honestly it's hard to say if that was the combo or just my body being more cooperative that time. Achilles is a slow healer no matter what, so don't expect miracles either way 🔬 One thing from my own mess ups, the oral form felt like nothing to me compared to the injectable, so I'd pick a route and stick with it instead of doubling up. Running both at once for an injury that gnarly sounds like a lot of v
  • patient_longevity: Yeah the route thing matters a lot, oral bpc always felt like i was just wasting product when i tried it? Injectable was a different story for sure. Achilles tendon is brutal because it barely has blood flow to begin with so anything you throw at it has to actually get there, that part always worried me about oral. And i get what you mean about too many variables, kinda hard to tell what did what if you stack everything at once.
  • mira_k: Yeah the route thing is so underrated, glad you said it. Oral bpc basically did nothing for me either when I tried it for a niggly shoulder... Went to subq and it was a whole different story. Stick with one route, keep the rehab simple, give it proper time. Achilles takes ages anyway 🤓
  • nomad_brandon: Yeah the oral thing kinda tracked for me, and i only had leftover tablets so i figured i would ask. How long did you run subq before you noticed the shoulder actually calming down, and were you doing any rehab at the same time or just letting the peptide do its thing? Trying to set expectations since the achilles feels like it is moving but it is glacial, for what it is worth.
  • nomad_brandon: Yeah that tracks with what i was thinking honestly, the blood flow point on the achilles is a big reason i was leaning injectable anyway. If i do add tb-500 i might run it solo for the first week or two just to see if i notice anything different before bringing bpc in, for what it is worth less to untangle that way. How long did you run yours before you felt like it actually kicked in?
  • nomad_brandon: Yeah that tracks with what i was thinking honestly, i had a feeling running both routes at once was just making it harder to figure out what is actually doing anything. I will stick with injectable bpc and skip the oral, and maybe hold off on tb-500 for now and see how the bpc does on its own first. For what it is worth i am not in a rush, boot is off and i can walk normal, just want the tendon to actually be solid before i push it. How long did you run yours before you called it good?
  • rachel_ketogen: With my elbow thing I was probably noticing something by week 2, but I was also doing PT at the same time so thats a confound I cant rule out. Honestly I think a lot of what people call "kicking in" is just time passing plus the rehab work doing its thing, hard to separate out the peptide effect from that in my experience. The subjective timeline stuff is always murky to me.
