BPC-157 + 5-Amino-1MQ stack, anyone tracking fasting glucose on this combo?

Ngl i've been running BPC for an achilles thing and was thinking about layering in 5A1MQ for the metabolic side, but i'm a little weirded out by the glucose angle.

Saw some chatter that NNMT inhibition can bump fasting glucose in some folks, and i'm already on a pretty low-carb setup because of training. Not diabetic, no meds, but i don't love surprises on bloodwork.

For anyone actually running this combo, what did your fasting glucose and HbA1c look like before vs after a few weeks? And did it level out or just keep creeping? Curious if it's a transient adaptation thing or something you have to actively manage.

Also gonna pull a CMP and fasting insulin before i start anything, just to have a baseline. If i do run it i'll recheck at 4 and 8 weeks.

Not looking for medical advice, just real experiences from people who actually tracked the numbers.

  • raj_j: Honestly the NNMT angle is what made me pump the brakes too when i was reading about it. From what i've seen in the chatter, most folks running 5A1MQ without preexisting metabolic stuff don't report big fasting glucose jumps, but "most" aint a guarantee and a low-carb baseline gives you less room to wiggle before it shows on a meter. Your plan to grab a CMP and fasting insulin first is smart. Fasting insulin especially, since that'll catch drift before glucose does. I'd add a trig check too wh
  • quiet_ironman: Yeah that last question matters, i think there's something off about trying to push metabolic stuff while a tendon is still knitting, the body has its priorities and chasing glucose numbers during recovery seems like noise you don't need. Cb ๐ŸŒถ
  • optimized_mom: Yeah the trigs is good call, lipids do shift sometimes with the NNMT inhibition stuff from what I read. And yes basically trying to keep the achilles work going while I add the 5A1MQ, so maybe 6 more weeks on the BPC side before I even start layering if I do at all. Not in a rush to mess with two things same time honestly ๐Ÿ˜…
  • grinder265: Wait, who mentioned trigs in my post? I talked about CMP and fasting insulin, never said anything about lipids or trigs. Just wanna clear that up before anyone else reads this thread thinking I'm chasing a lipid panel. The rest of it sounds like we're on the same page though. Six more weeks solo before I even think about layering is smart, lets me actually see what BPC alone does for the achilles before adding a variable. What dose are you running on the BPC side right now?
  • grinder265: Yeah the patience thing is hard lol. Achilles was being stubborn for me too, i kept wanting to throw more at it but loading BPC and starting something new at the same time would just muddy any signal i was looking for. I'll probably do exactly that, finish out another 6ish weeks on BPC solo, recheck bloodwork, then decide on the 5A1MQ. If fasting glucose or insulin moves at all i'll know it's the new variable and not leftover from anything else. One thing tho, did you see any actual data on ho
  • grinder265: Ngl you're probably right and that's kind of where my head keeps going. The achilles isn't even close to healed yet, probably another 2 months minimum before i'm back to real volume. Pulling baseline labs this week regardless, fasting insulin + glucose + a CMP. If i wait til the tendon is sorted then i at least have clean numbers to compare against later instead of guessing what changed what.
  • grinder265: Yeah trigs is a good call, i'll add a full lipid panel to the baseline draw. For the achilles thing, i was planning to keep BPC going for another 4 to 6 weeks since it's still a little grumpy on hard days, and start 5A1MQ once i'm back to normal mileage. Trying not to muddle the recovery signal with two unknowns at the same time. Would you stack them earlier or wait it out like i'm thinking?
