My first 2‑week trial with Adamax and low‑dose Methylene Blue

I started to experiment with Adamax about a month ago after reading a few forum posts. I used the intranasal spray 0.5 mg twice a day – morning and early afternoon – just before work. At the same time I added a very low dose of Methylene Blue, 1 mg/kg, taken with my breakfast coffee.

For the first three days I felt a mild headache, probably from the Blue, but it went away after I drank more water. By day 5 I noticed my focus was steadier during long coding sessions; I could read research papers for hours without the usual mental fog. My mood was slightly brighter, maybe just because I was excited about the protocol. I also saw a small improvement in short‑term memory – I could recall a list of 12 items after a 20‑minute break, something I usually forget.

I am still cautious – I keep an eye on my blood pressure and avoid any SSRIs because of serotonin risk. Next week I plan to cycle the Blue for three days off and keep the Adamax daily. Any tips on dosing or side‑effects would be welcome 👀📚.

  • mira_k: 5 mg twice daily, and I also tried a tiny splash of methylene blue with my morning tea. The first couple of days I got a bit of a dry nose and a light headache, which eased once I upped my water intake. After about a week I felt a bit sharper during long writing sessions – less of that mid‑afternoon slump – and my recall for names seemed a touch better, though I’m not sure if that was just the novelty wearing off. I’ve kept an eye on my blood pressure and stay well clear of any serotonergic med
  • wes_p: Interesting that you also had headache and dry nose. It seems water really is key for these. I did not have nasal irritation, but maybe my 0.5 mg dose is too low for that. You mention a mid-afternoon slump, which is exactly what I wanted to fix. For me, the timing of the second dose early afternoon really helped. Did you notice if the effects lasted until evening or did it wear off quickly? 📚
  • nora793: Wait, you are actually doing 5 mg twice daily? That is a massive jump from the original post, no? Fwiw, I feel like half the people on this forum just guess the dose and hope they do not wake up as a different species (which is terrifying). Where is the actual data for that dose? I need a citation or I am calling this a placebo.
  • wes_p: You read wrong, nora793. I wrote 0.5 mg, not 5 mg. That is big difference. 5 mg would be way too much for me, I am not trying to wake up as different species 👀. I do not have one single citation because I just look at general research ranges and common forum logs. For me, this dose seemed enough to clear fog without feeling jittery. Maybe it is placebo, but my memory felt better. 📚
