Trying NA-Selank Amidate for calm focus – anyone else noticed mild nasal irritation?

I’ve been experimenting with NA-Selank Amidate intranasally for a few weeks now, mostly to take the edge off anxiety before my early morning CrossFit classes. I started at 300 mcg once a day, then bumped to 400 mcg split morning and afternoon. For me it feels like a gentle shift – my mind stays clear without the jittery buzz I get from caffeine, and I’m not sleepy at all.

The biggest downside has been a little nasal irritation after each spray, nothing painful but enough that I’ve started rinsing with saline afterward. I haven’t tried stacking it yet, but I’m curious if pairing a low dose of Adamax in the morning would give extra focus without overstimulation. Has anyone else noticed similar irritation or found a way to minimize it? Would love to hear what doses and timing have worked for you.

  • weekendnate: 400 mcg split like that is right where I played around for a similar calm focus effect, and yeah the nasal thing was real for me too. A couple things seemed to help: letting the solution warm to room temp before spraying, tilting my head slightly forward instead of back so it sits in the lower turbinate, and not sniffing hard right after. On the saline rinse, I’d flip the order and rinse first, then dose once the mucosa is clean and dry. Seemed to cut the sting down for me. I have not tried Ad
  • grinder265: Ngl I’ve noticed the same sting, especially when I spray right after a shower. Warming the vial helped a bit but tilting my head forward made the biggest difference for me. Have you tried a lower dose like 200 mcg twice daily to see if the irritation drops off?
  • quiet_ironman: Good call on the head tilt, I do mine standing up so that might actually be making it worse. I haven’t tried 200 twice yet because I liked the calm at 300, but maybe the irritation is just dose related enough that splitting lower would still give me the same effect. How long did the warming trick take before you noticed a difference?
  • quiet_ironman: Good tips, especially the rinse-first idea, that makes sense because leftover mucus was probably trapping the solution against one spot and causing the burn. I’ll try warming the vial in my pocket for 10 minutes before dosing too, never thought about temperature being a factor. The head tilt is such a simple fix, I’ve been doing the whole throw-your-head-back thing this whole time lol. Going to skip the Adamax stack for now and just see how the nasal tweaks play out for another week or two 🔬
