Ipamorelin + tesamorelin before bed – any real sleep data or just placebo?

5 mg) with ipamorelin (250 mcg) each night for about three weeks now. I’m an ICU nurse so my sleep is already fragmented, but I’ve noticed I wake up feeling less groggy and my Oura ring shows a bit more deep sleep – maybe 10‑15% up from baseline. I also get a mild hunger pang around 2 am, which fits the ipamorelin profile.
I’m keen to know if anyone else has tracked objective markers like HRV or sleep stages with this combo, or if the improvement could just be placebo from expecting better rest. The knowledge base says the pair gives a synergistic GH pulse, but I haven’t seen any human studies on sleep quality specifically. Does anyone have links to trials or personal logs that show a clear effect beyond subjective feeling? Would love to see some data before I decide whether to keep stacking or just stick with ipamorelin alone.

- tiredmira: Honestly the 2 am hunger thing kinda sold it for me, that's a real ipamorelin signal and not placebo lol. I ran ipa alone at 200 mcg nightly for about 6 weeks and tracked HRV + deep on my ring. Deep crept up maybe 8% from baseline but HRV was basically flat, so for me the subjective "feeling more rested" was there but the objective markers were pretty meh. For you the deep sleep jump sounds a bit bigger than what I'd expect from ipa alone, so maybe tesamorelin is doing real work there. Hard to
- fasted_scientist: Yeah the 2am hunger was actually the bit that made me think something real is going on, you can't really fake that. Interesting that your deep jumped 8% on ipa alone, mine's more like 10-15% on the combo so the tesamorelin might genuinely be adding something on top, or could just be noise from week to week tbh. Did your HRV stay flat the whole 6 weeks or did it move at all? I haven't looked at mine in enough detail to know if there's a trend or if I'm just staring at random numbers. Might actua
- greg208: Cheers for that, the 2am hunger thing is exactly what made me think it was actually doing something too. Your point about the deep jump being bigger than what ipa does on its own is interesting, not gonna lie i hadnt really considered that. Might be worth me dropping the tesamorelin for a couple weeks and just running ipa solo to see if my numbers actually shift. Did you notice any difference in how you felt coming off it or was it pretty smooth?
- fasted_scientist: Tbh i havent come off it yet, im still in the three week run and i want to hit a proper baseline first before i start chopping bits out. Plan was to keep going for another week or so then drop the tesamorelin and run ipa solo for a couple weeks, same as what youre thinking. If anything shifts ill post the oura numbers up here so weve got something to compare. The hunger thing still catches me out at 2am, ngl.
