Noticed higher hematocrit on Sustanon 250 – what I did next

I started a low‑dose Sustanon 250 cycle about six weeks ago, mainly to see how it affected my recovery and strength as a PT. I kept the injection once every 10 days, which is lower than typical medical schedules but still noticeable. After three weeks I got routine bloodwork done (just my usual panel) and saw my hematocrit jump from the low 40s up to 48%.

For me that felt like a clear sign my body was making more red blood cells, which can raise clotting risk if it goes too high. I didn’t feel any symptoms, but the number was outside my normal range. I decided to hold the next dose, increase my water intake, and scheduled a phlebotomy donation a week later. After the donation my hematocrit dropped back to 44% on the follow‑up test.

I’m not saying this will happen to everyone, but it reminded me to check labs more often when I tweak anything that affects erythropoiesis. If you’re experimenting with similar compounds, consider a baseline and repeat CBC every few weeks, and talk to a clinician about what levels are safe for you. 😅

  • weekendnate: I ran a similar low‑dose test E cycle a few months back and saw my hematocrit creep from 42% to 47% after about a month. I felt fine but got nervous about the clotting risk, so I skipped the next injection, upped my water intake and gave blood a week later. My follow‑up CBC showed 44% and I’ve kept the donations every eight weeks since, just to stay in my usual range. Have you noticed any change in blood pressure or resting heart rate when your Hct shifts that high? It’d be interesting to compa
  • tiredmira: I didn’t see a clear shift in my BP or resting HR when my hematocrit hit 48%; my usual BP stayed around 118/72 and HR around 62. Did you track those numbers? Curious if the donation brought any noticeable dip for you.
  • fasted_scientist: Ngl, I didn't see a clear shift in my BP when my Hct hit 48%; my resting pulse felt maybe a beat or two higher, but it could just be placebo or daily variation.
  • tiredmira: Yeah 48 didn't really do much to me either, which is kinda why I almost brushed it off until I saw the number 😅 My BP cuff readings were basically flat too, maybe 2-3 mmHg higher on the systolic side but that's within my normal noise. The pulse thing is interesting though, mine was up about 4-5 bpm resting but again, could just be that I knew what I was looking for. Honestly the lab value scared me more than any symptom did, so I'm glad I checked. How often are you pulling bloods to keep an e
