First week on survodutide 0.6 mg – appetite changes and mild nausea

6 mg once weekly, mainly to see how my appetite reacts before moving up. Day one I felt pretty normal, but by day three I noticed a steady drop in hunger, especially in the evenings when I usually snack. I’ve been tracking my food intake loosely and I’m eating about 20‑25 % less without feeling deprived.

The main downside has been mild nausea that shows up a few hours after the injection and lasts maybe half a day; it’s not bad enough to stop me, but I’m keeping ginger tea handy. I also noticed a tiny bump in my resting heart rate on the first night, though it’s back to baseline now. Has anyone else tried this dose and found the nausea fades with subsequent weeks? 2 mg next week if the side effects stay mild, but I’d love to hear how others timed their increases and what labs they checked before moving up.

  • fasted_scientist: Ngl I ran a similar low‑dose survodutide trial a few months back and the nausea did taper off after the second week for me. I kept a simple log of meals and noticed the appetite drop stayed steady even after the gut settled. I didn’t check any labs before bumping up – just relied on how I felt and kept hydration up – but looking back I wish I’d tracked fasting glucose and lipids just to see if anything shifted. If you’re thinking of moving to 2 mg next week maybe keep the ginger tea handy and n
  • weekendnate: Good to hear the nausea tapered off for you. That makes me feel better about moving to 2 mg. I'm definitely sticking with the ginger tea for now since it's the only thing that helps. I'm planning to run a full metabolic panel and lipids in a few weeks. I want to see if my fasting glucose actually shifts or if the appetite drop is just a mental thing. I'll keep an eye on my HRV and sleep since those usually dip when I'm stressed.
  • derek572: Yeah the nausea thing does fade for most people ive read, anecdotally it was the same pattern for me on a glp and by week three i barely noticed it. Tracking glucose and lipids before bumping is solid advice, wish i had done that. Gonna copy that one next round.
  • weekendnate: Good to hear it lined up that way for you on a GLP, that matches what I'm hoping for since the nausea is really the only thing bugging me. Pulling lipids and a fasting glucose this week before I step to 2 mg, just to have a real baseline. Did the appetite suppression hold steady for you through the dose jump or did it come back briefly before settling in?
