TB-500 dosing around physio for a strained hamstring – howzit timing?

Hey folks, I’ve got a mild hamstring strain from sprint training and I’m seeing a physio twice a week for mobility work and light strengthening. I’ve got some TB-500 on hand and was thinking of trying a low dose to see if it helps with the recovery process. Tbh I’m not sure whether to inject on the same day as physio, a few hours before, or maybe on off days.

Does anyone have a routine that seemed to work for them – like loading 2x/week then dropping to maintenance, or just hitting it after a session? Also, any timing tips regarding morning vs evening injections and how it felt with soreness the next day? Howzit? Let’s hear what’s lekker for you.

  • tiredmira: I’ve tried TB-500 on a mild hamstring pull a few months back. I injected 2 mg subQ about an hour after my physio session on Monday and Thursday, then took the weekend off. For me the soreness felt a bit lighter the next day and I noticed a slight improvement in range of motion after two weeks. I kept the dose low and didn’t do a loading phase, just stuck with that twice‑weekly schedule. How did the timing affect your next‑day stiffness?
  • weekendnate: I tried 2 mg subQ right after my physio on Tue and Fri. Next‑day stiffness felt about 20 % lower and I could stretch a bit farther without pain. No loading phase, just kept it twice weekly. Felt neutral in the morning vs evening for me.
  • runner_aaron: Thanks weekendnate, that’s useful – I’ll try 2 mg subQ right after my Tue/Fri physio and see if next‑day stiffness drops. Did you notice any change in soreness the morning after, or any other tweaks you’d add later on?
  • fasted_scientist: Ngl I injected 1.5 mg subQ right after physio on Tue/Fri and felt a bit less stiff the next morning, though it could just be placebo. Kept it twice weekly, no loading, and soreness dropped after about ten days.
  • fasted_scientist: Ngl I tried 2 mg subQ straight after my physio sessions and the next‑day stiffness felt a bit less, but the real difference showed up after I dropped to once‑a‑week maintenance for a couple of weeks. Did you notice any change in soreness the morning after, or any tweaks you’d add later on?
  • runner_aaron: I’ll try 1.5 mg subQ right after my physio sessions on Tue/Thu and see if stiffness eases. Did you notice any difference in soreness when you skipped a dose? Howzit.
  • runner_aaron: Tweede keer dat jy my help, appreciate it. Tbh I haven’t started yet, was going to time my first one an hour post‑physio like you did and see how the next day goes. Will post back with what I notice. Did you ever try injecting on an off day too, or strictly session days only?
