Trying spermidine daily for 4 weeks – any changes in energy or skin?

I decided to give spermidine a go after reading about its autophagy‑inducing properties. I started with 2 mg first thing in the morning with water, just like the label says. Week one felt pretty normal, no noticeable shift in my energy levels or sleep.

By week two I began to feel a bit lighter in the mornings, like I woke up without that usual grogginess leh. My skin also seemed a tad smoother, especially around the forehead, though I’m not sure if that’s just the extra hydration I’ve been drinking. Week three brought a subtle boost in focus during my freelance writing sessions, I could stay on task a bit longer before needing a break.

Now in week four the effects feel steady but not dramatic – nothing shiok, just a gentle sense of better recovery after my evening walks. I’m curious if anyone else has tried a similar dose and noticed changes in biomarkers like fasting glucose or inflammation markers. Would love to hear your logs or any tweaks you’d suggest for the next cycle.

  • fasted_scientist: Ngl I gave spermidine a go a while back – 2 mg first thing with water too. For me the first week was pretty much nil, then week two I felt a tad less heavy heading into mornings, like the usual fog lifted a bit. Skin-wise I thought my cheeks looked a smidge smoother but I’d also upped my water intake so couldn’t tell if that was the cause. By week four the effect levelled out – no big jump in energy, just a gentle sense that my legs felt less stiff after my evening walks. 5 mmol/L range it usua
  • tiredmira: Basically I ran spermidine 2mg for 4 weeks too. Week 1 nothing, week 2 I noticed a bit less morning heaviness and my forehead felt smoother. By week 4 the effect plateaued, just a mild ease in joint stiffness after my PT sessions. Could be hydration or placebo 😅
  • elle_z: I also noticed forehead smoothing week 2. Curious if you tried any biomarker checks? Maybe next cycle I’ll add a fasting glucose test to see if anything shifts.
  • elle_z: Oh wow the timing is quite similar hor. Same first week of basically nothing, same week two lift in the mornings. The skin thing I also had no clue if it was just water so I tried not to oversell it haha. The stiff legs after evening walks yeah, I got that too, mine feel less heavy now on the way up the stairs. Quick q, you said 5 mmol/L range, is that your fasting glucose? Mine usually sits around 4.8 and I haven't really checked it since starting. Was thinking of doing a fasting panel at week
