MK-677 water retention and blood sugar questions

Started MK-677 at 10 mg about three weeks ago. Sleep is deeper which is good. But my ankles are puffy by evening.
Fasting glucose went from 89 to 104 on last bloodwork. Doctor said watch it but didn't seem worried. Anyone else see this kind of jump?
Also waking up with numb hands most mornings. Goes away after I move around a bit. Wondering if the water retention and glucose stuff settles down over time or if I should drop the dose.

- aspiring_student: yeah i ran 10 mg for about six weeks last year and basically same thing happened? fasting glucose crept up low 100s and ankles got puffy by dinner time 🧠dropping to 5 mg before bed helped the water retention a lot for me? glucose still ran a bit high but not as dramatic? i also added berberine 500 mg with meals and that seemed to blunt the spike? could be placebo though 🔥 what time are you dosing?
- brett24: i dose at 9 pm right before bed. good to hear the 5 mg drop helped the ankles. might try that next week. berberine crossed my mind but hate adding more pills. my fasting was 89 now 104 so not huge but trending wrong way. you notice any change in hunger on the lower dose?
- ketogen_biohacker: For what it is worth, the hunger hit was a bit less for me when I backed down, but it did not disappear completely. I still felt snacky some evenings, just less like I wanted to raid the fridge. The fasting glucose trend is the part I would watch closely, though. If it keeps creeping, I would rather lower the dose than stack more stuff on top.
- brett24: Yeah, that’s kind of where my head is at too. The hunger is annoying but livable. The fasting glucose jump from 89 to 104 is the bit that has me side-eyeing it. I’m only three weeks in, so I was hoping the ankle puffiness might settle. If it does not, I’ll probably back off from 10 mg instead of trying to pile on more gear. Thanks mate. Did your snacky evenings calm down after a few more weeks, or was it just less bad?
- researcher_humble: idk about the berberine, seems like a lot of extra work just to fix a problem the stuff caused in the first place, for me the water weight never really leveled off at 10mg so i just stopped, felt like i was carrying a gallon of water in my legs, maybe just try the lower dose and see if it settles, otherwise its probably not worth the bloat.
- brett24: Sounds rough. I was already on 10 mg and the ankle puff was noticeable by day 5, so dropping to 5 mg makes sense. I’ll give the lower dose a week and see if the glucose stabilises. If it’s still climbing, I’ll pull the plug. Thanks for the heads‑up.
