Retatrutide titration log – appetite, sleep and HRV notes

I started retatrutide at 1 mg once weekly last Monday, planning to bump up by 1 mg every week until I hit a dose that curbs appetite without wrecking my gut. Day three I noticed a dull nausea that faded by evening, and my usual evening snack cravings dropped about half. Sleep felt a bit lighter – I woke up once around 3 am but fell back asleep fast, and my HRV stayed steady around 62 ms (baseline is 58‑65).
No noticeable heart‑rate jump yet, but I’ll keep an eye on it as the dose climbs. 2 lb after four days, which is mostly water I guess. Anyone else mixing this with resistance training and seeing changes in recovery or energy expenditure? Would love to compare notes on titration speed and side‑effect patterns.

- runner_aaron: Hey, I’ve been playing with a low dose of semaglutide for a few weeks just to see how it affects my appetite and recovery. Tbh the first few days gave me a bit of queasiness that settled after lunch, and my late‑night snack urge dropped noticeably. My HRV hovered around 60 ms, a touch above my usual 55‑58 range, and I didn’t feel any extra fatigue during my afternoon gym sessions. I’m curious if anyone’s noticed a shift in muscle soreness or energy output when they pair retatrutide with heavy l
- greg208: Yeah I’ve been upping retatrutide by 1 mg each week and haven’t felt any extra soreness after lifts – if anything my recovery feels a bit smoother. Gut’s been fine so far just that mild nausea early on which settles quick. Not sure if slower titration would change much but it’s working for me.
- grinder265: Ngl I’m at 2 mg retatrutide now and haven’t seen any extra soreness after my long runs or lifting sessions gut wise the nausea faded after day three and I’ve kept the dose bump slow – 1 mg weekly feels tolerable for me how’s your appetite holding up as you go higher?
- weekendnate: I’m at 2 mg now too – appetite’s down another notch, snack urges barely there, nausea only a quick twinge on day three then gone. HRV still hovering 60‑63, no extra soreness from lifts. How’s your sleep holding up at this dose?
- weekendnate: Thanks for the update. My nausea also peaked around day three then faded, and I’ve kept the same 1 mg weekly step. At 2 mg now my HRV crept up to 64 ms and I’m down another pound. How’s your weight trend so far?
- elle_z: Sleep’s been pretty solid at 2 mg – I still wake once around 3 am but drift back fast, and my HRV stays in the low‑60s. No grogginess in the morning, just a bit lighter sleep like before. ⚡
- weekendnate: Hey Aaron, My nausea hit day three and was gone by evening, similar to your post‑lunch queasiness. HRV stayed at 62 ms, a bit above my 58‑65 baseline, just like yours crept up. I’m still at 1 mg weekly, planning to bump to 2 mg next Monday – curious how your gut handles the semaglutide climb when you add heavier lifts. Have you noticed any shift in DOMS or energy output yet? I’ll start logging soreness and HRV as I go up.
