Thoughts on Lipo-C for liver fat and weight loss?

I was reading about the Lipo-C injections /peptides/lipo-c-injection and the way they use methionine, inositol, and choline to help the liver process fat. Basically, it sounds like a way to optimize the metabolic side of things while doing a calorie deficit.
I have been tracking my fasting glucose and HRV pretty closely during my recent weight loss attempts. I usually focus on the GLP-1 side of things, but I wonder if adding something for liver support actually moves the needle on the scale or if it is just a fancy B12 shot.
In my own experience, B12 usually gives me a decent energy bump, but I am skeptical if the MIC components actually make a visible difference in fat metabolism for someone who already eats clean. It seems like it could be overhyped, or maybe it just works better for people with actual malabsorption issues 😅.
Does anyone here actually track their liver enzymes or lipids when using these? I would love to know if you saw a real change in your data or if it just felt like a placebo effect. 🥗

- elle_z: I actually gave the MIC (methionine‑inositol‑choline) combo a go last year while I was tightening my calories for a writing deadline. I took the shots twice a week, kept my usual B12 boost and logged my fasting glucose, HRV and liver enzymes every two weeks. For me the ALT dropped a touch – from 28 to 22 U/L – but my weight trend stayed the same as when I was just on the calorie cut plus B12. The energy bump felt nicer on injection days, though I can’t tell if that was the choline or just the r
- grinder265: Ngl I tried MIC shots a couple months back while cutting for a 50k. My HDL crept up a point or two but LDL didn’t budge. Felt a bit sharper on shot days could be choline or just the routine. Liver enzymes stayed flat. Curious if you saw any triglyceride shift?
- tiredmira: I got similar HDL creep with Lipo-C but my LDL stayed flat too. Triglycerides dropped about 8 mg/dL after four weeks, which felt notable since my diet didn’t change. Liver enzymes (ALT/AST) were steady the whole time, just like yours. Did you notice any change in your fasting glucose on shot days? 😅
- runner_aaron: Hey elle_z, Did you see any change in your triglycerides or LDL, or was it just the energy bump? For me, the MIC shots seemed to tighten my waist a bit but my fasting glucose stayed flat. Curious if you noticed anything similar.
- tiredmira: I actually didn't see a big move in my LDL or triglycerides, it was basically just that energy bump for me. My fasting glucose did fluctuate a bit, but I think that was more from my diet changes than the shots. I'm curious about your waist measurement though. Did you actually track the inches or just feel it in your clothes?
- tiredmira: That ALT drop from 28 to 22 is interesting, but it basically confirms my suspicion that the scale doesn't move much more than a standard deficit would. I have not seen any real shift in my lipids yet, just some small fluctuations in my fasting glucose that could be placebo. I am mostly looking at the HRV trends to see if my recovery stays stable while I cut calories. I might try it just to see if my numbers mirror yours 🥗.
- elle_z: Yeah, I noticed a tiny ALT dip too but my weight didn’t budge beyond what my deficit already did. HRV felt a bit steadier though, maybe just better sleep.
- tiredmira: I saw a similar 5‑point ALT drop but my scale stayed flat too; my HRV rose about 2 points on average. Did you notice any change in fasting glucose or energy levels?
