Trying Adamax for focus during powerlifting prep – my 2 week log

I started Adamax about two weeks ago because I wanted something sharper than my usual caffeine routine for those long technique sessions. 5mg in the early afternoon if I felt a dip. The first few days I noticed a slight pressure behind my eyes and a bit of headache, nothing serious but enough to make me lower the second dose.

After day four the head feeling faded and I felt a clearer edge when I was reviewing my lift videos, like the details stuck easier. My mood stayed steady, no jittery feeling, and I did not get the irritability I sometimes get with high dose Semax. 5mg melatonin at night.

I am thinking of trying a short stack with Selank next month to see if the calm adds to the focus without overstimulation. Just my own experience, not a recommendation. If anyone else has tried Adamax I would love to hear how it worked for you.

  • coastalphil: I tried Adamax a few months back when I was prepping for a meet and needed something to keep my head clear during those long accessory sessions. 5mg and the pressure went away. By day five I noticed I could catch small form flaws on video playback a bit quicker, and my mood stayed flat without the edge I sometimes get from higher caffeine doses. I stacked it with a low dose of Selank later and didn’t feel overstimulated, just a steadier focus. Curious if anyone else found the eye pressure faded
  • skepticalkenji: Fwiw I had the same mild eye pressure for the first couple of days on 5mg Adamax, then it cleared up and I stayed at that dose without needing to bump it. Did you notice any change in sleep quality when you added Selank?
  • nightryan: Yeah the pressure behind my eyes showed up day one‑two then dropped off by day four. I stayed at 5mg each afternoon and didn’t need to tweak it. Felt the same video‑detail edge you described. No jitter.
  • vo2max_sleep: Yeah same pressure thing for me too, faded around day four after I cut the second dose. Glad you got the video detail boost without jitter. Have you tried adding Selank yet or thinking about timing it with Adamax?
  • vo2max_sleep: I had the same mild eye pressure for the first couple days on 5mg Adamax then it faded, just like you said. I haven’t tried Selank yet – it’s still on the plan for next month – so I can’t report any sleep change now, but I’ll track it closely when I start the stack.
  • vo2max_sleep: It is funny you mention the form flaws on video, because that was exactly what I noticed too. For me the eye pressure really did go away after day four, so I did not have to keep the dose low forever. I am glad the Selank stack worked for you without overstimulation. I will probably start with a very low dose of Selank first to be safe... Do you remember if you took it before or after the Adamax?
