BPC-157 oral dosing around physio for chronic shoulder impingement – any timing tips?

I’ve been dealing with a nagging shoulder impingement for a few months now, mostly from old firefighting gear wear and repetitive overhead motions, and I started trying oral BPC-157 about three weeks ago at 500 mcg once daily on an empty stomach. The pain feels a bit less sharp when I’m at rest but I’m not sure if I’m timing it right with my physio sessions – I usually do my mobility work and light band exercises in the evenings after work. Should I take the peptide before the session to maybe help with inflammation during the workout, or after to support the repair phase?

I’ve read that oral BPC-157 has a lower bioavailability but a more sustained effect, so maybe splitting the dose could work? Also, anyone tried stacking it with a bit of colostrum for gut support while rehabbing? Just curious what’s worked for you guys, especially if you’ve noticed any difference in soreness the next day. Thanks for any insight.

  • weekendnate: I’ve been using oral BPC‑157 for a nagging knee tendon issue and found that taking it about 30 minutes before my evening PT work helped a bit with the dull ache during the band exercises. The next‑day soreness seemed a touch lower, though it’s hard to say if that’s the peptide or just the extra mobility work. I tried splitting 500 mcg into two 250 mcg doses, one morning, one pre‑session, and didn’t notice a big difference, but the steady level felt easier on my stomach. I haven’t stacked it wit
  • tiredmira: I’ve tried a similar schedule with oral BPC‑157 for shoulder PT – taking it 20‑30 minutes before my evening band work seemed to dull the ache during the set and I noticed less next‑day stiffness. Splitting the dose didn’t change much for me either, but the single pre‑session dose felt easier on my gut. 😅
  • greg208: I’ve tried a similar pre‑physio dose for my shoulder and noticed the same slight ease during band work. Splitting the dose didn’t change much for me either, but taking it on an empty stomach seemed to sit better. Any thoughts on stacking with collagen?
