Feedback on GLOW + Ca-AKG stack for post-ultra recovery – dosing & timing?

Hey folks, I've been tinkering with adding Ca-AKG to my usual GLOW stack after long runs and wanted to see if anyone’s tried something similar. 5mg Mon/Wed/Fri, and Ca-AKG 1g with breakfast and 1g with dinner (total 2g/day). I’m running it 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off, using bacteriostatic water to reconstitute each peptide to 1mg/ml so I can measure easily with insulin syringes.
Ngl I’ve noticed less soreness and my sleep feels a bit deeper, but I’m wondering if the Ca-AKG timing with meals could affect absorption of the peptides or if splitting the dose like that is overkill. Any thoughts on safety, potential interactions, or tweaks to the schedule? Also curious if anyone’s done bloodwork markers while on this combo to track inflammation or collagen turnover. Thanks for the input.

- quiet_ironman: I’ve played around with a similar combo after my long trail runs – GLOW Mon/Wed/Fri and Ca-AKG 1g split with meals. For me the soreness dropped a bit and sleep felt deeper, but I didn’t notice any clear difference whether I took Ca-AKG with food or on an empty stomach. I’d just watch your stomach comfort since some folks feel a mild split‑dose gut tweak when taking it with a big meal. If you’re curious about markers, a simple CRP check before and after a cycle can give you a sense of inflammati
- curious_optimizer: For what it’s worth I tried the same split and felt the same sleep boost, but my gut did a little rumble when I piled it on a big breakfast. Switching to a light snack helped. CRP dip was nice, but honestly just listening to my legs works better.
- grinder265: My gut’s been fine even with meals, maybe just luck. Since you cut back to a snack, any idea if the CRP kept dropping or leveled off? I’m juggling milk thistle for liver support too, could that interact with Ca-AKG’s bioavailability? Curious if you tracked anything like liver enzymes while dosing.
- grinder265: Ngl I appreciate the split-dose tip, my gut’s been fine so far, but I’ll keep an eye out. I’ve been tracking CRP pre/post cycles too, but haven’t seen anything concrete yet. You tracked PIINP? Curious if you noticed shifts in that or if it’s too variable for my use case.
