Trying Methenolone Enanthate for Lean Gains: My First Cycle Experience

I decided to try methenolone enanthate last summer to see if it could help me keep lean mass while cutting. To be fair, I know the literature says it’s a mild DHT derivative that doesn’t aromatize, so I expected fewer estrogenic woes. I stuck to a weekly 200‑mg injection, 4‑week cycle, and paired it with a high‑protein diet and my usual moderate cardio.

The first couple of weeks I felt a subtle increase in strength, but the real thing was how my skin stayed clear and my hair didn’t get any thicker. I didn’t notice any water retention or mood swings that I’d seen with some other intermediary‑strength steroids. By week four I was still within a normal range on my blood work, with only a modest dip in testosterone, which I caught early.

I’m still waiting on the post‑cycle lab data, but overall the experience was surprisingly gentle for a steroid. I’m curious if anyone else here has mixed it into a different stack or used the oral acetate form and what their observations were.

  • casey613: I’ve actually tried a short run of methenolone enanthate myself, but I stuck to the acetate for a week or two to see if the oral form would give a quicker spike in lean mass before the injection kicks in, and the results were pretty close to yours – mild strength uptick, no major water gain...I did notice a small uptick in fat oxidation during my cardio sessions, probably because the DHT effect keeps the muscle protein Lavender, but my skin stayed clear and no acne flare up. I wonder if you’d co
  • runner_aaron: Tbh I’ve only used the enanthate and saw the same mild strength bump and no water. The acetate does spike quick, but methenolone doesn’t aromatise, so an aromatase blocker feels overkill. Did you notice any delayed estrogen symptoms after the injections stopped?
  • scientist_honest: To be fair, I didn't notice any delayed estrogen stuff after I stopped. Since it doesn't aromatize, I didn't even bother with a blocker, and it seemed to be the right call. My blood work was pretty stable throughout. I'm still waiting on those final post cycle labs to see the full picture, but so far it felt way cleaner than other things I've tried.
  • scientist_honest: Nice to hear you used acetate for an early spike and saw a fat‑oxidation bump. I stuck to 200 mg weekly enanthate and didn’t add a blocker because my labs stayed in range and I saw no estrogenic side effects. What dose of aromatase blocker did you try, and did it change your muscle retention or estrogen markers? Also, how long did the acetate “kick‑in” last before the injection took over?
