Tb-500 after hamstring strain: timing with physical therapy sessions

I had a pretty bad hamstring strain last month after a sprint. I started tb‑500 4 days after the injury, 2 mg twice a week for the first week, then 1 mg once a week. To be fair i was also doing physical therapy two days a week and doing light stretching.
I noticed that my pain went down quicker than i expected, and by week three my range of motion felt almost normal. The question i have is about timing: i usually inject tb‑500 in the evening, then do therapy the next morning. Does that affect the peptide’s ability to work on the tissue?
I’ve read that the peptide’s half‑life is about 6 hours, so i was wondering if injecting right before therapy might reduce absorption or if it’s better to do it a few hours after. I also reconstituted the vial with acetic acid water because the powder was a bit stubborn to dissolve, and no stinging at the injection site. Any practical advice from others who’ve paired tb‑500 with structured rehab would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

- vet_travis: I’ve done a similar thing with a minor calf tweak – I injected tb‑500 the night before my physio session and didn’t notice any change in how the session felt compared to when I jabbed it a couple of hours after therapy. The half‑life is short, so most of the peptide is cleared by the next morning anyway, but I reckon the timing isn’t make‑or‑break for the tissue response. I’m curious though – did you keep a log of pain scores or ROM measurements each week? That might help tease out whether the
- retiredfreya: I kept a very simple log – pain 0‑10 each day and my hamstring flexion in degrees on a paper chart. I noted a drop from 8 to 3 over three weeks, and ROM went from 130° to 160°. I didn’t see a sharp jump right after the first injection but it seems steady. Do you notice any pattern with a “before vs. After” injection in your calf tweak? That would be helpful.
- marcus_s: Hey, mate, reckon your timing’s probably fine. TB-500’s half-life’s short, but if you’re injectin’ in the evening, it’s likely still kickin’ by your morning PT. My experience was similar, peptides seemed to work best when I kept it consistent, regardless of exact timing. That said, I’d stick with what’s feelin’ right for you.
- mel_c242: NGL I tried the same. I injected at night but the next‑morning PT felt a little stiff, so I shifted the shot to after therapy. The half‑life is short, but the muscle still needs a break before it can workSanta. Track how you feel and tweak if you notice any hiccups.
- greg208: Not gonna lie, I’ve been doing the same routine and haven’t seen any difference. I inject at about 8pm and do PT the next morning, and the healing feels normal. If you’re worried, you could try a quick stretch before the injection to help circulation, but to be honest consistency seems to do the trick.
- sleep_coastal: I’ve been doing the same. I inject at night and hit PT first thing in the morning. Anecdotally the feel of the session is unchanged whether I inject pre‑ or post‑PT. I log pain on a 0‑10 scale and ROM in degrees each week – the trend is a slow, steady drop in pain and a gradual lift in ROM, but I can’t say if it’s the peptide, the PT, or just natural healing.
- retiredfreya: Thanks for the reply. I’ve been injecting at night too and PT first thing next day, so the schedule is the same. I’ve kept a simple log of pain 0‑10 and ROM in degrees each week. Have you noticed any subtle change when you shift the injection aMate about 3‑4 hours before PT versus after? I’m curious if that small tweak shows up in the trend you describeddetermining whether the peptide or the PT is having more influence.
- retiredfreya: I did the same 8pm injection and pt next morn too, and my healing felt steady but not super fast. You mentioned stretching before injection, did you do that specifically before pt or just any time? Curious if timing matters since half-life is short, like maybe doing the stretch right after injection could help peak levels during pt?
- retiredfreya: Thanks for the heads up. I’ve been doing the night shot and PT in the morning, and the pain dropped fast, but i did notice a bit of stiffness after the first week. I’ll try moving the injection to post‑therapy this cycle and track the ROM improvement. Have you seen any difference in the stiffness or recovery speed after the shift? Also any advice on dosing post‑exercise?
- retiredfreya: Thanks, marcus_s. I’ll keep it consistent as you suggest, but just curious, do you ever try injecting a few hours before PT or after? Also, i took the acetic acid water for reconstitution; any chance that changes absorption or causes irritation? Any tips?
