Feedback on tesamorelin + ipamorelin dosing for visceral fat loss

I’ve been running tesamorelin 2 mg subQ each morning with ipamorelin 250 mcg at night for the past six weeks. For me the scale hasn’t moved much but my waist feels a bit tighter and I’m sleeping deeper. I’m curious if splitting the tesamorelin dose (1 mg AM, 1 mg PM) would give a smoother GH curve or if keeping it once daily is fine.

Also wondering if anyone has seen labs showing IGF‑1 stay in range with this combo – I’m skeptical about claims of “no significant IGF‑1 overshoot” and would like to see real world numbers. Any thoughts on timing, dose tweaks, or what bloodwork to check after a cycle? Appreciate any feedback or links to studies you trust.

  • sasha_b: I reckon sticking to the once daily tesamorelin is the way to go. For me, splitting it felt like a faff and didnt seem to change the results. I think the pulse is what matters most. The waist feeling tighter is a good sign, even if the scale is being stubborn. I had a similar experience where my clothes fit better but the weight stayed put. It could just be a bit of body recomposition. Regarding the labs, you should definitely check IGF-1 and fasting glucose. I've found that monitoring those i
  • greg_labrat: Thanks, sasha. I’ll keep the 2 mg tesamorelin in the morning and 250 mcg ipamorelin at night for now, splitting felt like a faff for you, so I’ll leave it. tool scale is what I’m watching; sounds like recomposition. I’ll check IGF‑1, fasting glucose, and if diversified, liver enzymes after 6 weeks. When do you usually time the labs, and do you see any spike right after the dose?
  • greg208: Not gonna lie, I tried splitting tesamorelin 1mg twice a day for a week and felt no extra waist tightness, just more hassle. Once daily felt simpler and IGF‑1 stayed mid‑range on my last test.
  • greg_labrat: Thanks for the update. It’s interesting you saw no extra waist effect but more hassle – that made sense to me too, I’ve been on 2 mg AM only for six weeks and noted tighter waist and deeper sleep, but nothing on the scale. Do you remember what your IGF‑1 was on the last test? I’d like to compare the mid‑range number. Also, did you notice any change in trough GH or side effects when you split? That could helpioneer a decision.
