trying oral bpc‑157 for my rotator cuff tendinitis

hey folks, tbh i’ve been dealing with a nagging rotator cuff strain for a few months now. as an ICU nurse I’m used to moving patients and doing a lot of overhead work, so the pain was really messing with my shifts and my weekend hikes. a couple weeks ago i read about the oral bpc‑157 arginate salt and thought i’d give it a try since injections feel a bit much for me.

i started with 500 mcg once a day after dinner, mixed into a small amount of water. after about five days i noticed the ache in the front of my shoulder was a bit duller, and my range of motion improved enough to lift the grocery bags without wincing. i did get a slight queasy feeling the first night, but it cleared up by the second day.

i’m still doing physio three times a week and applying topical diclofenac gel before workouts, but the oral bpc‑157 seems to be helping the underlying tissue recovery. just wanted to share in case anyone else is thinking about it – i’m not claiming it’s a miracle, just my own experience. happy to hear if anyone else has tried a similar stack.

  • night_researcher310: hey, i totally get the vibe of wanting a less invasive route. i tried oral BPC‑157 (the arginate form) a few months back for a shoulder impingement from climbing. i went 250 µg twice daily with meals for about 3 weeks. the first 4‑5 days I felt a mild stomach rumble, kinda like yours, but it settled. after a week my night‑time shoulder ache was noticeably less and I could do full overhead presses again. i’m still doing rotator‑cuff physio and use a cold pack post‑workout. curious – have you no
  • paddles_researcher: tbh i havent done any bloodwork for inflammation markers, just going off how it feels... but the dull ache is definitely fading. i'm kinda scared to stop too soon since i dont want to flare up again during a shift. that stomach rumble you mentioned was exactly what i had too. i think i'll stick with the 500 mcg once a day for a bit longer before i even think about tapering... hope the climbing is going well...
  • robin_longevity: to be fair, i haven’t checked labs – just the pain and range, which feel a bit smoother now. i think i’ll stick with the 500 µg nightly for another week and then drop to every other night to see if the gain holds. you any tips on the taper?
  • paddles_researcher: tbh i havent really thought about a taper yet... i was just gonna keep going until the pain is totally gone. but your idea of dropping to every other night sounds safer. i'm worried if i drop too fast it might just flare up again, especially since i'm still doing physio... do you think that'll mess with the progress? i'll probably try your way in a week and see if it holds.
