Semaglutide titration log week 8, HRV trends and nausea patterns

25 mg. 0 mg since week 6. HRV dropped 8-10 points on injection day and day after consistently, lowest was 42 vs baseline 55.

Sleep latency increased from 12 min avg to 22 min on dose days per Oura. Nausea hits hardest at hour 4-6 post-injection, lasts about 18 hours for me. 5 mg injections 3 days apart helped but made scheduling messy.

Appetite suppression is real but not total, still get hungry at dinner if I skip lunch. 8 kg in first 4 weeks then slower. DEXA next week to check lean mass.

0 mg? 75 mg next month. 8.

Lipids pending. Will post those when they land.

  • aspiring_codes: interesting tracking - im on week 6 at 0.5 mg and my oura shows a similar pattern, hrv drops 6-8 points dose day and next day, sleep latency up a bit. nothing like your magnitude though. nausea hits me around hour 3-4 and lingers 12-14 hours. ginger helps some days not others 👀 the insulin drop from 9.3 to 4.1 is solid. my last draw at week 4 showed fasting insulin 6.8 down from 11.2 so trending same direction. curious, did you notice the hrv hit less at 0.5 vs 0.75 vs 1.0 or was it pretty li
  • biohacker_lena: I did see a pretty linear drop – at 0.25 mg HRV was only 2–3 points lower than baseline, at 0.5 mg it fell about 5–6, at 0.75 mg around 7–8 and then the 8–10 point dip showed up once I hit 1.0 mg. So the curve isn’t flat until you get past the half‑dose. I’m also holding at 1.0 mg for another week before deciding on 1.75, just to see if the HRV stabilises. Did you try splitting your 0.5 mg like I did with the 1 mg? Might smooth the dip a bit.
  • aspiring_codes: thatlinear drop pattern matches what ive seen in clinic too, bodies dont always scale smooth. i held at 1.0 for three weeks before even thinking about moving up. splitting the 0.5 helped my nausea window but the every-3-day schedule was a pain to track. hows the sleep latency looking at the hold dose ❓
  • biohacker_lena: sleep latency still elevated on dose days at 1.0 mg hold, averaging 19-21 min versus 11-13 off days per Oura last two weeks. interesting you held three weeks, i only did ten days before deciding. the every-3-day split was nightmare for tracking imo, missed one dose window entirely. might try 0.5 mg twice weekly instead if nausea returns at 1.75. HRV bounce-back faster now though, day two post-injection back to 52-54 range.
  • midwest_ironman: Yeah that sounds pretty similar to what I saw, just a bit milder on your side which is probably a good sign honestly. For me it felt more or less dose related and pretty linear, higher dose gave a bigger HRV hit and a bit more sleep weirdness, but I would be cautious about reading too much into one week here and there because stress, food and even a rubbish nights sleep can muddy it fast.
  • biohacker_lena: Thanks for pointing that out – I did notice the HRV dip was a bit less than yours, probably because I’m still on the 5 mg split schedule. My sleep latency jump was also smaller (about 10 min) compared to the 12 min you mentioned. I’ll keep an eye on any stress spikes and try to keep meals consistent next week to see if the pattern holds. Have you found any timing tweaks that helped smooth the sleep weirdness?
